We are eagerly awaiting baby boy #2, due [name_f]May[/name_f] 14th!
After A LOT of debating, erasing, and adding to our name list we had finally decided on the first name [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]. We had gone through various first names such as [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m], [name_m]Calvin[/name_m], [name_m]Alistair[/name_m], [name_u]Alek[/name_u], [name_m]Alexei[/name_m], [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], [name_m]Damon[/name_m], and [name_m]Bryson[/name_m] but nothing seemed to fully satisfy me. We were super excited, considering our picky selves found a name that we both absolutley loved. And it was all thanks to our five-year-old, [name_m]Tennyson[/name_m], ranting on about how his friend’s little brother, [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m], had decided to jump off his bunk bed and how [name_u]Max[/name_u]´s life was ¨in terrible danger¨ (I don´t think we have to worry about him being a big risk-taker any time soon). I have always loved that name, but for some reason it had been buried at the back of my head and it took my son’s wonderful story to dig it out. Hubby agreed that the name was worthy for his little man, and we were soon seeking a middle name. We had suggestions come and go, and some constantly pop up. My mother was keen on [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] ([name_m]Oliver[/name_m] after her father), but it was an automatic no becauce it clashes with our last name. Hubby´s family was pushing for [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], but that was also a no because that ALSO clashed with our last name. So basically anything ending in ¨er¨ was out of question. Friends had frequently suggested middle names [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], which both stuck to our lists. Another we had heard pop up every now and then was [name_u]Curtis[/name_u]. At first, I wasn’t too big on [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] for a middle name for [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]. But it had some signifigance to [name_m]Matt[/name_m]'s (my husband) family, and the more [name_m]Matt[/name_m] had mentioned it, the more I had seemed to like it. I recently did a boy naming forum on an old-fashioned middle name for [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m], and [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] popped up. Hubby jokingly said that it must be a sign. [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] it is. What can I say? The name grew on my maybe a little too quickly.
Now, let´s talk about [name_m]Tennyson[/name_m]. [name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] was actually born [name_f]May[/name_f] 17th, three days after [name_u]Max[/name_u]'s due date. He is absolutely thrilled about the upcoming arrival of his little brother, but… he wants his birthday all to himself. This seems to be a big stressor for him, and whenever we mention the baby, all he can say is that he wishes the baby would be born way after his birthday. Which, I guess is better when he was disappointed that [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] isn’t a girl. Yep, this kid absolutley love change.
I am a lot more healthier during this pregnancy. My family goes to the gym every other night, we are outside a lot more, and a lot of the sweets have been replaced with greens. But this pregnancy seems SO much harder than with [name_m]Tennyson[/name_m]. I honesly just think this one is more of a fighter. [name_f]Morning[/name_f] sickness seems to take over my life right now, and so does my overwhelming craving for meats. Actually, come to think of it, my pregnancy seems to be a lot like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]'s from Friends, minus the two other newcomers (thank goodness). About thirty-one weeks in, and this baby seems to be having a kicking party! Constantly! And it seems to be either consuming all of the food in the house, or rejecting all of it. Which is normal, I suppose. Either [name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] was too easy or [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] is too hard. Maybe both. Who knows?
