So I've been spelling my sister's name wrong for 16 years

And so has she, apparently. She changed her name on Facebook from just [name]Stephanie[/name] to [name]Stephanie[/name] [name]Anne[/name], and I said, “Is there an E on the end of your middle name? Because I was pretty positive there wasn’t.” And she said yes, it indeed had an E. I said, “Well that’s awesome, 'cause I’ve been sad about the fact that your middle name was missing an E for your whole life, so clearly I should have clarified this with Mom thereby saving myself the grief.” She told me not to feel bad, that our mother only pointed out to her LAST YEAR that there was an E on the end of [name]Anne[/name]. What? [name]How[/name] does that happen? You can bet we’ll be discussing this in our phone call tomorrow.

[name]Alexis[/name]

LOL, almost the same thing happened to me. My sister Jara’s best friend(well one of them) is really close to our family and we are VERY close. I mean REALLY REALLY close. Anyway, so we have had to write her name on stuff, of course. Finally, when we had to sign a form and put down her name, she said “Ok, I have to tell you guys this because you’ve been spelling it wrong since kindergarten. Its A-D-D-Y not A-D-D-I-E.” Wow, are we stupid! [name]Addy[/name] has been close to our family for so long. [name]How[/name] could I have missed that? [name]Even[/name] Jara had been spelling it wrong for a year of their friendship!
