SO shocked! Boyfriend actually likes this combo...WDYT?

[name]Hi[/name] Berries,

So I brought up [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] to my boyfriend tonight to see what he thought since I never know what he will like like and dislike. But I mentioned and [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] and he surprisingly liked it. I was trying to find a middle name to go with [name]Orchid[/name] since I like the name a lot. It is sophisticated yet different which I love. So I suggest [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name], what do you berries think!? Yay or Nay? Thank you!

Our other name choice would be [name]Delilah[/name] [name]June[/name]. But I am definitely loving [name]Orchid[/name] way more.

I think it’s a nice combo. [name]Orchid[/name] isn’t something I would usually go for, but I like it with [name]Aurora[/name]. [name]Delilah[/name] [name]June[/name] and [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is a great sibset.

I think that is a very pretty and unique name

Not my favourite flower name, but it’s an intriguing combo. [name]Delilah[/name] [name]June[/name] is cute, but doesn’t have nearly as much punch as [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name].

I much prefer [name]Delilah[/name] [name]June[/name]. Sorry, but I think [name]Orchid[/name] is a bit vulgar(not trying to be rude) and too obviously flower-y. Maybe [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Orchid[/name]?

Hmm…I like all of the names you’ve chosen, but I also have some issue with all of them.

[name]Orchid[/name] is, for me personally, a bit hard to say/harsh sounding. I do like it, as a name, but I stumble over it a bit, and I think the -id ending combined with the hard ch sound makes it sound…not feminine? I’m not sure exactly. It makes me think of things like Orkin or Arachnid. Yet I still like it, so the associations aren’t very strong. It could be a little vulgar, as well.

[name]Delilah[/name] is a lovely name, but I think it might be a bit trendy, and the associations aren’t that great either. It’s got a more appealing sound to me, but [name]Orchid[/name] is more unusual and timeless.

I love both [name]Aurora[/name] and [name]June[/name], but I know some people have difficulty with the Rs in [name]Aurora[/name]. Combined with [name]Orchid[/name], it might be difficult to say, and it’s got a lot of harsh R sounds. [name]Orchid[/name] [name]June[/name] flows better, [name]IMO[/name] - but might be too flowery/naturey.

I think [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is stunning. If you are open for suggestions there’s [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]June[/name], [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Orchid[/name], [name]Orchid[/name] [name]June[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] [name]June[/name]…

I was going to say [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Orchid[/name] as it sounds much better with [name]Delilah[/name] [name]June[/name].

I agree on this also. I know a [name]Delilah[/name] [name]May[/name] she’s nearly 1.

I prefer [name]Delilah[/name] [name]June[/name], but you love what you love!

[name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is a little heavy on O’s but, beautiful names overall.

I like it. I have a soft spot for [name]Orchid[/name] in the middle. It’s uncommon but easily pronounced by most people and it’s a rather intuitive spelling. Would it take some getting used to for others? Yeah, but that doesn’t really matter if you truly love a name.

[name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is fantastic.

I love [name]Aurora[/name] and I love orchids I just don’t like [name]Orchid[/name] as a name. I think it lacks a bit of music.
[name]Aurora[/name] [name]Orchid[/name] however would be great.

I am however super psyched for you that he likes it. (Much more important than my opinion!) It’s great that you found someone who has a bit of an adventurous side to him that matches yours.

[name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is definitely unique and vowel heavy, which I love.

YES!

Really beautiful. Cosmic, even!

I really appreciate all of the suggestions and positive feed back! I know the name is not for everyone and may be too much. But I have always danced to the beat of a different drum since I was a little kid lol. It is also hard to get a good response out of him because most names I bring up to my boyfriend he does not love. So this was a total shock and made me super happy.

I never thought about [name]Orchid[/name] as a middle and [name]Aurora[/name] as a first but I am not sure I am loving the reverse combo as much as [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]. I also see it as people will never be using both her names just her first. I may have to find a name (thinking more into the future) that has the same vibe or in words of the one of the berries punch* like [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]. [name]Delilah[/name] may be too safe and it seems to becoming more popular.

What do you berries think?

I much prefer [name]Delilah[/name] [name]June[/name]… I think that is very beautiful!

I agree with lexiem. The fact that your partner likes it too is much more important than the fact that it nms.

[name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is so beautiful! I love [name]Orchid[/name], and [name]Aurora[/name] is one of my favorite names! [name]Delilah[/name] [name]June[/name] is lovely, but my vote’s for [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] if you both love it!

Thank you so much!

I totally agree, it is very important he likes it and that what I am most concerned about but it is nice to hear other peoples thought on the name. I am happy it is getting a good response.

What would be a good sib name to go with it if we have another girl thinking wayyyy down the road since we have not even had our first.
Would [name]Delilah[/name] and [name]Orchid[/name] work as a sib set or no?
