I like it by itself fine, but more as a nn. [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] is my favorite, but I also adore [name_u]Cricket[/name_u]. Super guilty pleasure, I know! [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] is another nice option, or maybe [name_m]Crispin[/name_m]? [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] & [name_u]Christian[/name_u] are good names & make sense too.
So, I’m basically no help! But I think that you seem to love just [name_u]Kit[/name_u] more than any of the full names, & just [name_u]Kit[/name_u] seems like a winner.
Thanks so much @MichelleM! I myself just can’t see [name_u]Kit[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], cause of the sounds not matching. sorry!
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] by itself: maybe a little too cute for an adult. I’m sure there are plenty of men who could wear it fine, but I feel like it’s better as a nn.
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]: this is my personal favorite! [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] is so handsome and underused! The nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is so accessible for this!
[name_u]Christian[/name_u] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]: even though I am a [name_u]Christian[/name_u], and thus believe in everything the name stands for, I would not feel comfortable naming my child [name_u]Christian[/name_u]. Obviously this is just my personal opinion and does not really affect anyone else.
Kit definitely works fine as a full name, but I prefer it as a nickname. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Christian[/name_u] or [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], but other full name suggestions are [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], [name_m]Kingston[/name_m], Kitrick, [name_u]Beckett[/name_u], Burkit, Nikitas, and [name_u]Keaton[/name_u]
I love the name [name_u]Christian[/name_u] but would feel uncomfortable using a name so connected to religion. [name_u]Christian[/name_u] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u] was actually an idea that I had too! Ultimately I decided [name_u]Christian[/name_u] isn’t for me though.
Christopher is okay but honestly I think just [name_u]Kit[/name_u] fits better with your style. Maybe this won’t work because the sound doesn’t match up either but [name_u]Kestrel[/name_u]?
I prefer [name_u]Kit[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], [name_u]Christian[/name_u], or whatever you want to use it as a nickname for. Not my favorite as a stand alone first name. I do think it could be a nickname for [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] even though the sounds don’t match perfectly (all of the sounds of [name_u]Kit[/name_u] are in [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], just backwards). There are plenty of nicknames that don’t perfectly match their full name counterpart like [name_f]Libby[/name_f] for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Peggy[/name_f]/Maggie for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. But I digress.
I really like [name_u]Kit[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_u]Christian[/name_u] and [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], but I think it is a great name on its own too.
I really like [name_u]Kit[/name_u] by itself. I’m not a big fan of [name_u]Christian[/name_u] or [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], but [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is short and sweet and I think the popularity of [name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_m]Harrington[/name_m] makes it more acceptable of a first name by itself (though I think his first name is actually [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]).
