My husband and I are having the hardest time deciding on a name. I think we’ve narrowed it down to following first/middle name combos. Would love some feedback from people who aren’t family!
My concern with [name_m]Leo[/name_m] is how [name_m]Leo[/name_m] O’Shannessy sounds. Is the O at the end of [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and the beginning of our last name too much? My concern with [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is that it’s quite popular. And the concern with [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is that it’s too…different.
I love [name_m]Leo[/name_m], and while I think it could work with your last name, it is a bit of a mouthful. My second pick would be [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]- I don’t think it’s too out there at all! [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is fine, but it doesn’t wow me anymore.
From your list I like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] the best.
I think both sound very good, but I see why you are concerned with [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and your last name. Therefore, if I had to vote, I would choose [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]! I really love the combo, and I dont find it too different at all. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is a fresh and modern name, a name that not everyone has! I like [name_u]James[/name_u] with [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], because I like the sound of it and the name overall. Im not a big fan of [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is getting very popular, you´re right.
I love [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] the most!

[name_m]Leo[/name_m] is a fun name but I don’t like how it sounds with your surname, the sounds run into each other too much. And [name_m]Henry[/name_m] feels overused to me. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] isn’t too out-there at all! It’s a modern favorite that’s gaining popularity and is in the US top 600.
I love [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. I have one! I think it works fine with your surname because to me there is a distinction where one ends and the other begins.
What about [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]? I agree that the O runs into your last name, but it’s not the worst thing. I like [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] but fear it’s a bit too hip/trendy.
I’m torn between [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. Honestly I’d probably use them together! As either [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] or [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. Tbh all of your options are pretty popular, so I wouldn’t rule out [name_m]Henry[/name_m] based on that.
It’s funny but despite where it sits on the charts I’ve yet to meet a baby or young child named [name_m]Henry[/name_m]!
I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] best. I like how it ends with a Y, like O’Shannessy, it seems a nice fit to me. Also, I like the nickname [name_m]Hal[/name_m], which might be swaying me.
My son has the middle name [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] and I love the picture it creates. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] sounds the best and it sounds good with your surname.
I love [name_m]Leo[/name_m], but the -o sounds are too close. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] O’Shannessy flows beautifully. I don’t think [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] works, it’s a bit harsh next to your flowy last name.
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]! I don’t think [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is too out there, -er boys names and last names as first names are pretty common. Also, he could go by [name_u]James[/name_u] if he decides he doesn’t like [name_m]Wilder[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but agree that it is becoming very popular (we are having the same trouble with our top name!). Of the others [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is my favorite combo
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is far and away my favourite combo — super cool! But I don’t love [name_m]Leo[/name_m]’s o-ending with your surname, sorry. I also think [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] feels a bit much with it as well.

Wow! I love [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]! I had never even considered that name before but it is the perfect combination of approachable and unique. Definitely gets my vote! Especially [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u].
