We really can’t decide on a girls name! My style is… Practical but unique, grounded but cool, and YES, I like names that are spelled a little differently. [name]Just[/name] because my name is spelled differently and I always took pride in that. So please, no comments on the spellings OR comments saying that the names are “made up” or whatever. My fiancé and I are wanting to put a unique spin on a not so crazy name to match the very bland last name of [name]Gordon[/name]. Oh, also, we want a name that totally avoids horrible nicknames that grandparents might give… Get the hint? LOL
For middle names we have a few that we’re thinking of such as [name]Grace[/name], [name]Korie[/name], or [name]Bryn[/name]. But nonetheless, they can change depending in suggestions and verbal flow with the first name (:
Anyway, here are a few names we’ve been tossing around for our little girl.
[name]Eliette[/name] [name]Bryn[/name]
[name]Emersyn[/name] [name]Grace[/name] – PLEASE, leave the spelling of this choice alone. I love the name [name]EmerSON[/name] for a boy, but my daughter will not have the [name]SON[/name] in her name - rather a more feminine pronunciation of SYN.
[name]Connely[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name] ________
[name]Dacey[/name] ______ – I love the idea of the non [name]Dace[/name]! (: not sure about a middle name for this though!
[name]Braelyn[/name] _______ — also love the nn [name]Brae[/name] (:
[name]Hazel[/name] _______
[name]Vivian[/name] – my least favorite , but I love [name]Vivi[/name]… But the hub thinks its too short and cutesy to stand alone?!?
I like [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Vivian[/name], and [name]Dacey[/name].
Also you can do [name]Candace[/name] nn [name]Dacey[/name]/[name]Dace[/name].
[name]Connely[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is sooo pretty! That’s my favorite by far and I think it has everything you guys are looking for. The only one I really don’t like is [name]Braelyn[/name]. I know a baby with this name who is absolutely adorable but I can’t get past how ugly this name is. Mostly because the sound donkeys make is called braying and that’s like all I can think about.
[name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] are my favorites! [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Gordon[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Bryn[/name] [name]Gordon[/name] are both stunning combos!
I love [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] (amazing, beautiful choices!!). [name]Vivian[/name] nn [name]Vivi[/name] is great too. The others are NMS. Maybe it’s the spellings (I understand completely your spelling of [name]Emersyn[/name]…but most people will hear the name and assume it’s “[name]Emerson[/name]” - so why bother if you don’t like that spelling? She’ll get it half the time).
[name]Love[/name] [name]Emersyn[/name]! I don’t mind when people change the spelling of a name a little bit, but when [name]Genevieve[/name] becomes Jenuhveev that’s where I feel it’s wrong.
I love [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name]. I think both of those would sound great with [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Korie[/name]. I like [name]Vivian[/name], nn [name]Vivi[/name] too. I don’t think changing the spelling to [name]Emersyn[/name] makes the name any more feminine, rather it just looks like you don’t know how to spell [name]Emerson[/name] properly. The other names aren’t really my style, they just sound made up and not very feminine to me.
[name]Vivi[/name]. I love [name]Vivi[/name]! Maybe another full name if youre not crazy about [name]Vivian[/name]? [name]Vivica[/name], [name]Vivia[/name], Viviet, [name]Vivianna[/name], Vivaldi
[name]Hazel[/name]. [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Dace[/name] (I kind of like [name]Dace[/name] in the middle with one of your more traditional first name picks, [name]Hazel[/name] is perfectly quirky for me)
[name]Rosalie[/name]. [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Bryn[/name] is really nice. [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Eliette[/name] [name]Gordon[/name] works too.
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], and [name]Vivian[/name]. [name]Rosalie[/name] is my favorite. It’s just so happy and fun. I don’t like the others at all.
My favorite is [name]Rosalie[/name]. I think it fits all your criteria and is really beautiful. My second choice would be [name]Hazel[/name]. [name]Braelyn[/name] reminds me of a donkey regardless of spelling. I understand spelling is not an issue for you, but while [name]Emersyn[/name] is recongnizable, it took me a few times to realize what you were trying to do with [name]Eliette[/name]. To me, that goes beyond spelling. Maybe the spelling Elliotte would make it “different” and still recognizable? [name]Dacey[/name] is ok. Perhaps as a double name it might work (i.e. [name]Anna[/name] [name]Dacey[/name]). Good luck!!
I like [name]Rosalie[/name] best. My concern with the spelling for [name]Eliette[/name] is that I’d pronounce it differently than I pronounce [name]Eliott[/name] (More like [name]Elle[/name]-ee-ETTE instead of [name]EL[/name]-ee-uht). The previous suggestion of Elliotte might help if you’re aiming for that pronunciation.
I personally like [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], and [name]Vivian[/name]. [name]Connelly[/name] [name]Grace[/name] has a very nice flow to it. [name]How[/name] do you pronounce [name]Eliette[/name]?
