Soft, feminine, timeless

I got some great name ideas in my first thread. What do you think of this list? What would you add or get rid of? Sweet, classy and feminine is the goal.

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]

From your list my favourite is [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] with that spelling. It seems so [name_m]French[/name_m] and pretty.
I would add [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] to your list.
My least favourites are [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] seems quite modern to me. [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] reminds me of [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] just doesn’t seem as timeless as your other names.

I love this naming style.

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - Keep
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] - This name has always emanated a rigid, no-nonsense feeling that would keep it from being ‘sweet’ [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] - Keep! This is my niece’s name and I always felt it fit into this sweet, feminine category.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - Timeless, classy and definitely feminine. Keep!
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] - I recently found out that the Nameberry page says it is pronounced ee-[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-nah? I’ve never heard it pronounced this way, I have several friends and family friends with this name or middle name who all pronounce it '[name_f]Elle[/name_f]-in-ah". Either way, I think it is vey sweet and feminine.
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] - Meh, I have never personally liked this name but I think [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is absolutely lovely.
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] - Keep! (Although I think it’d be oh so sweeter as [name_f]Norah[/name_f] )
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - Definitely classy and feminine, but I feel as if it has less appeal than other [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- names we hear a lot more today?
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] - Keep
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - Keep!
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - Keep!

All I would hope to add would be names such as [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f]/[name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f].

I would definitely add [name_f]Claire[/name_f] & maybe [name_f]Elsie[/name_f].

A really lovely list

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f], [name_f]Maya[/name_f], and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] are the only ones that stick out as stylistically different. They feel much more modern and minimalistic.

Beautiful list.

Keep:
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]

Get rid of:
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] - this name is very strong, even without hard consonants
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] - I consider this smooth but not soft
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] - smooth not soft
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] - not timeless; it’s a nickname for a timeless name like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] - not timeless
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] - not timeless
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] - not soft
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - not soft

Overall, I think it is a really nice list. I especially love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].

The ones I’d remove are [name_f]Maya[/name_f], [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], and [name_f]Serena[/name_f] - they don’t feel as timeless as the others.

Names I would add: [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

All pretty names.
I would get rid of [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabella[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]…just personal preference.
My favs are [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Serena[/name_f] (pronounced Se-reh-na), and Viviene.
I would add [name_f]Solene[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] (french pronunciation), and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f].

Thank you everyone! I am going to cut [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Maya[/name_f], [name_f]Serena[/name_f], & [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] would be a great nickname for some of my other names ([name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], etc.)
