I love the sound of [name_u]Sol[/name_u] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_u]Sol[/name_u] is so lovely

@jk_garrison Both names are beautiful, but I prefer [name_f]Marisol[/name_f]! It’s such a bright and spunky name. It feels a little more memorable to me than just [name_u]Sol[/name_u].

[name_u]Sol[/name_u] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is just a little tongue twisty, because [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] contains all the sounds of [name_u]Sol[/name_u]. [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] skirts that issue by incorporating other sounds into the first name, and is a bit more melodic.
[name_u]Sol[/name_u] is a bit more modern but [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] is a bit more unexpected.
[name_f]Marisol[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] kind of comes off tongue twister/ sound repetitive where [name_u]Sol[/name_u] does the repetition on sounds but not so much the tongue twister. I could see [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] easing the flow. But my vote went to [name_u]Sol[/name_u] because I feel for nn Soli [name_u]Sol[/name_u] comes off more intuitive… [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] Incould see it making sense to others less.

@namenerddoglover It is spunky! It’s feminine, but not overly so. I do wonder if [name_u]Sol[/name_u] is just a little too short.
@Youssarian I like the unexpectedness of [name_f]Marisol[/name_f]. It’s fresh.
@Alix2016 I agree with the first/middle combo with [name_f]Marisol[/name_f]. It’s an honor smoosh name. I don’t think I’d use [name_f]Rose[/name_f] on its own, though I like the flow. I might brainstorm other honor names with [name_f]Marisol[/name_f]. Soli is actually a nickname for [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] in Latin [name_u]America[/name_u] (we live in Central America), so it would work here. [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] would probably be a new name all together to our US family and friends, so I think we could stretch them a little with the nickname.
