[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!
Which name between [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] and [name_f]Viola[/name_f] you find more elegant and unique?
[name_f]Viola[/name_f].
I don’t really find [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] elegant, more bohémien artistic.
If you live in [name_f]Italy[/name_f] I would use [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], [name_f]Viola[/name_f] is very popular, but if you live in another country I would use [name_f]Viola[/name_f].
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] 🪻
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] is sweet, classic, unexpected and oozes elegance. Whereas [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] feels more artistic Bohemian.
[name_f]Viola[/name_f].
I love both and I think they both suit the vibe you’re going for, but [name_f]Viola[/name_f] might fall ever so slightly higher on a scale of elegance!
[name_f]Soleil[/name_f]!
I agree!!
Going by the sounds in the names, I think [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] is closest to elegant. [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] has those long relaxed vowels. Viola’s more vibrant, and feels more familiar due to the popularity of [name_f]Violet[/name_f] etc.
[name_f]Viola[/name_f]
I love Soleil She has a lovely sound with some cute nickname options. Viola isn’t really my cup of tea (maybe it’s associations). I don’t think it’s a bad name though!
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] sounds the most elegant to me
I love love love [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] but she feels more down-to-earth and artsy compared to [name_f]Viola[/name_f]!
[name_f]Viola[/name_f].
Out of curiosity, do you pronounce the i with an ee sound or an eye sound?
I think [name_f]Viola[/name_f] is more chic elegant and [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] is more exotic elegant but I think they’re both lovely! As for unique, I’d definitely go with [name_f]Soleil[/name_f].
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] sounds more elegant to me! I love it with the Vee- pronunciation.
We pronounce it like the ee sound
I love both, but [name_f]Viola[/name_f] is more common than [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], which isn’t a bad thing but I think the fun part about names is the uniqueness they can have. [name_f]My[/name_f] grandmother’s middle name was [name_f]Viola[/name_f], and also when I hear the name I think of the actress [name_f]Viola[/name_f] [name_u]Davis[/name_u]. [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] is beautiful, but it also stands out among the crowd. It’s elegant but when you hear the name you’ll solely think of your child. I’ve never heard of this name in my life but it’s so chic! I think [name_f]Viola[/name_f] as a middle name would be perfect, it would be the best of both worlds. [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] [name_f]Viola[/name_f]!
i prefer soleil, especially if you’re looking for something very uncommon !! viola is pretty, but it also seems quite familiar, and i don’t enjoy the sound as much as stunning soleil. soleil is so elegant and delicate, and also very unusual !!
Unique + elegant = Viola
Unique + bold = Soleil
My preference = Soleil
[name_f]Soleil[/name_f] !
[name_f]Soleil[/name_f] is more unique IMO. Unsure which I’d say is more elegant, though.
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] I think of the instrument and then [name_f]Viola[/name_f] [name_u]Davis[/name_u].
[name_f]Soleil[/name_f] I think of [name_u]French[/name_u] for “sun,” Circque du [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], and [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] [name_u]Moon[/name_u] Frye (aka Punky Brewster)
For some reason [name_f]Viola[/name_f] seems like an older name to me (or older fashioned) like 1800s style.
