[name_m]Solomon[/name_m]! Because it’s so badass, and I love the nn [name_m]Sol[/name_m].
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] hands down. I’ve been crushing on it for quite a while now.
I like the sound of [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] better, and the option of the nickname [name_m]Sol[/name_m] which is very cool. My only personal reservation is that I find it too associated from the [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] from the bible, and for me, that feels odd as I am not religious. So I love it, but probably wouldn’t use it for that reason. Would love to meet a [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] though!
Both are great! However, [name_m]Simon[/name_m] is the name I would pick for my son. I love the sound and the fact that it is used in Hebrew, English, Spanish, [name_m]French[/name_m], [name_m]German[/name_m], and many other European languages (I’ve moved a lot internationally, so I’m trying to pick somewhat “international” names for my children). It also feels timeless, is very familiar, but not (yet?) super common.
That said, [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] (especially with the nn [name_m]Sol[/name_m]/[name_m]Saul[/name_m]) is a fantastic name. Literally every time I come across some one named [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] I think, “what a cool name!” The reason why I personally wouldn’t use [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is because it feels very linked to a religious heritage that it is not my own.
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m], for no other reason than the fact that I’ve just never cared for [name_m]Simon[/name_m].
I used to love [name_m]Simon[/name_m] (used it on my family’s now 17 yo cat), but [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] strikes me as having more depth and feels very ‘now’. [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] gets my vote.
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is a family name for me, and I’ve always love its exotic yet familiar sound.
I love [name_m]Simon[/name_m] for all the reasons mentioned by other people. I am sure I am the ONLY one because everyone thinks the name is cool, but I always see the word sodomize when I see [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]…
Definitely [name_m]Simon[/name_m]! It’s classic yet modern.
I didn’t vote, nor do I plan to, because [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] are both great!
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] … because he’s quirkier :).
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is one of my favorite boys names. I love it.
My vote goes towards [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]. I absolutely love it. Simon is my aunt’s cats name and I associate it with the game “Simon says” and Simon Cowell. The only thing that comes to mind when I think of Solomon is the wisest king of Israel. Pretty awesome if you ask me.
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] for sure!!!
Thanks, everyone!
