My husband really likes [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], and although I don’t think I would have picked that one out on my own, it’s really starting to grow on me…what are your thoughts? What would you imagine a little boy/grown man named [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] to be like? Is it wearable? Does it sound too serious? Thanks!
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] instantly reminds me of [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] from the bible. For me it sounds too strong/serious, that’s why I probably wouldn’t use it.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]. Definitely wearable, one of my favorite names. For a time in which [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] are popular and accessibly, [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] works for sure!
I know a little boy named [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], he’s adorable- they call him [name_m]Solly[/name_m]
I think it’s very usable and handsome.
Yes it’s serious but the nn [name_m]Solly[/name_m] could really lighten it up for a baby or child so that I can imagine it on any age. [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is a very strong name, but definitely usable imo. What middle name would you put with him?
I think it’s so handsome. One of my favorite biblical names. It does seem serious though. I wish it had more nickname options for a little boy; [name_m]Solly[/name_m] is a bit cutesy for my taste. It reminds me of [name_f]Molly[/name_f]/[name_f]Dolly[/name_f].
I love [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]. To me it’s all soft oranges and yellows, sunshine, and tranquility. I don’t think it’s too serious at all. I like that it feels so strong without having any strong sounds. [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] would be intelligent, calm, and thoughtful. I can’t imagine him any other way.
I think [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is a wonderful choice. It’s a handsome, majestic and distinctive name of great depth and history. Parents should be naming “adults” not “babies” as we spend most of our lives as grown ups. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t you want a child to be “serious” when he matures as opposed to being “frivolous”? I know I would.
My cousin had a baby about a year ago, and his name is [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]. My initial reaction before I met the baby was to think it was a big name for a little baby. But now I love it! His middle name is [name_u]Kai[/name_u], and they originally thought that they would call him [name_u]Kai[/name_u] when he was a baby. They switched pretty quickly to just calling him [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] though because it fits him so well.
So I vote YES! to [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]. And perhaps give a shorter or nick-nameable middle name to use on occasion if you want a nickname option?
I love [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]! I agree with all those who say it is not too serious or heavy for a child; it’s a joy to say, it’s full of life. I feel the same way about [name_m]Samson[/name_m]. They are bold and bright.
It is solemn and yet pleasing looking.
It is rather a mouthful for a baby or toddler or 10 year old, but it is a name one could grow into and after all, one is an adult (sigh!) a lot longer than one is a kid.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] this name. I first heard it on the TLC show Sisters Wives, and loved it instantly. It is so strong and handsome sounding to me.
