What do you think of the name [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]? Are there any decent nicknames?

We must be mind-melding, because I was just thinking of this name the other day. I think [name_m]Sol[/name_m] would be a really great, laid-back nickname, pronounced like [name_m]Saul[/name_m].
I really like it, though we aren’t planning to use it because our close friends mentioned liking it. It does remind me of the Biblical story, so if somewhat obvious ‘religious names’ aren’t your thing, you may want to keep that in mind. I like that it isn’t insanely popular but also not completely obscure. Friendly, warm, and wise, this name evokes nothing but good thoughts in my mind 
As far as nicknames, as @willa_cather mentioned, there is [name_m]Sol[/name_m]. Our friends thought about using [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]/[name_u]Sonny[/name_u] or Lo. I guess the choices are a bit limited, in that aspect.
[name_m]Sol[/name_m], [name_u]Ollie[/name_u], and [name_m]Moss[/name_m] would be cool nn options, [name_m]Solly[/name_m] and [name_m]Manny[/name_m] could work, too.
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is really underappreciated, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
My great uncle [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] went by [name_u]Sam[/name_u]. I am a huge fan of the name!
I quite like [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], and [name_m]Sol[/name_m] would be a cool nickname. It would get [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] Song stuck in my head, though.

[name_m]Sol[/name_m] and [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] are the more obvious ones, but personally my favourite would be [name_u]Mo[/name_u]. [name_u]Ollie[/name_u], [name_m]Manny[/name_m] and possibly [name_m]Moss[/name_m] could also work.
As it goes I love [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine!!

I’ve read a book with a character named [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] that went by the nn Solo.
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] is an important family name for me, and I really like it. We had planned on using it as a middle if my daughter had been a boy.
I only wonder if it’s too clunky for a first name. I’m interested to hear what people have to say.
