I’m liking [name_u]Julep[/name_u] too! It feels springy (I don’t know how to describe what I mean but I hope you know ). I have [name_u]Jules[/name_u] on my own list.
[name_u]Thistle[/name_u] has a very pleasing sound too. It’s a spiky plant but I actually quite like the unique imagery and the Scottish vibes.
Others I can appreciate are Veranda and Chalcedony - the latter reminds me a bit of [name_u]Chauncey[/name_u]. It sounds very elegant.
I really like [name_u]Thistle[/name_u] & [name_u]Julep[/name_u]. I’m from the “home of the mint julep” but I could honestly see it on a boy or a girl (reminds me of TKAM’s [name_u]Jem[/name_u]).
Veranda, Nandina, and Tissot are also plausible names. The sounds of [name_f]Taffeta[/name_f] are nice but actual taffeta has ruined it for me with ruched sweet 16 ballgowns.
Oh [name_m]Bramble[/name_m] is magnificent! I’d love to have a son named [name_m]Bramwell[/name_m] and secretly call him my brambly hedge when he’s a baby.
My favorites would be [name_f]Taffeta[/name_f], [name_u]Julep[/name_u], Catalpa, Nandina and Giverny! I think that Catalpa, Nandina, Giverny and Chalcedony are usable because they could count as gem, plant and place names! I also like the nickname [name_f]Nina[/name_f] for Nandina and [name_u]Taffy[/name_u] for [name_f]Taffeta[/name_f].
