One of my close friends has a daughter due around the same time I am. We’ve recently begun talking about names with each other to exchange opinions, and she’s in love with [name_f]Maple[/name_f]. I love nature names, and [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is on my middle name list, so I would have no problems using it, which is what I told her, but she’s a little unsure. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is very unusual compared to the rest of her list, so it’s a little out of her comfort zone. She’s naming this baby by herself and doesn’t have anyone else’s opinions to fall back on, so I told her I would ask up here for her. So, what are your opinions and feelings about [name_f]Maple[/name_f]?!
[name_f]Mirabella[/name_f]/[name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] are other names she seriously considering, but, according to her, they don’t come close to how she feels about [name_f]Maple[/name_f]. She doesn’t have a sure middle name in mind yet, but she’s thinking about [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], and [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Maple[/name_f], it’s fresh and interesting. Out of her combos, I like [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. Very pretty and feminine.
I think she has to use [name_f]Maple[/name_f]. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] or [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] are very lovely.
I think if she loves [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and nothing even comes close to this choice then she should use [name_f]Maple[/name_f]!
Yes [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is unusual but then again so is [name_f]Mirabella[/name_f]/[name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f], furthermore [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is equally as unusual. It’s not like you get a lot of children with the name [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Mirabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] like you don’t get a lot of children named [name_f]Maple[/name_f]. I think your friend needs to be reassured that her daughter won’t stick out like a swore thumb with this name. All her middle name choices are lovely for different reasons. My favourites are [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] it sounds really gorgeous, flows of the tongue, and has a lovely nature connotation. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] looks and sounds beautiful. My other favourite is [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] she feels whimsical, light and delicate in sound. Almost like a fairy name whereas [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] feels fresh and sunny. It depends what vibe she wants for her daughter’s name.

tori101; Her uneasiness about [name_f]Maple[/name_f] came from the fact that it’s so uncommon and unheard of as a name. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] isn’t a name you hear everyday, but it’s actually pretty common. It’s been in the top 1000 for years, and it’s very popular right now. All those [name_f]Belle[/name_f]/[name_f]Bella[/name_f] names are very popular so [name_f]Mirabella[/name_f] feels familiar even though it’s uncommon, so she has no problems using it or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. She’s getting over that though, she’s starting to like the idea that her daughter will have an uncommon name. She has a very common name, [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], and has always hated it. Now she’s mostly just focused on the combos!
Thanks! Now that she’s pretty much decided on [name_f]Maple[/name_f], she said that she wants a fresh beautiful, naturey, magic-like name. She loves that fairy comment (we’ve both been obsessed with fairies since we were little)! So far [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is her favorite (she loves [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]), but she loves [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] almost just as much, and she loves [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] too. (I’ll probably make a poll for them after this.)

If she loves [name_f]Maple[/name_f], she should go for it. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is my fave combo, the other two are overly wordy for my taste (since [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is like the flower or the color and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is like aurora borealis).
