Hello! I have recently shortened my list of boy names to one name: [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], but I’m having difficulty adding some new ideas to my list (I also am equally in love with the name [name_u]James[/name_u], but unfortunately I cannot use this name because it is the name of someone in my immediate family). I would love to hear some new ideas!
To give you a taste of some of the names I like, my favourite girls names are [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (partially because of Pride and Prejudice ), [name_f]Emma[/name_f], and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. Some boys names that I like, but aren’t convinced of (maybe they will grow on me?) are [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. And finally, other names that I cannot use, but don’t particularly like, are [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_m]Andrew[/name_m], [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_u]George[/name_u] (although I do have a soft spot for [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]).
Any ideas would be appreciated, but please note that I am not pregnant, I would just love to add some names. Thanks in advance!
Jem, [name_m]Jim[/name_m], [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m], [name_u]Jae[/name_u]/Jay, [name_m]Ames[/name_m], [name_m]Jame[/name_m], [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]/Jaime, & [name_m]Jam[/name_m] are all alternatives for [name_u]James[/name_u].

I’ve also decided to add [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m].
Special thanks to @skylerros for your alternative name ideas, I love them! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite was [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. I think, when the time comes, I will ask the [name_u]James[/name_u] in my family if he would be alright with me using the name, and then we could use [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as a nickname to distinguish two.

You’re welcome! [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] can definitely be a nickname for [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. It can also be used just as [name_m]Bastian[/name_m], like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] for [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] or [name_m]Leo[/name_m] for [name_m]Leonard[/name_m]. Both long and short form are great!
