Today I visited a care home to talk to some of the residents there, and of course looked out for ‘old lady chic’ name inspiration (: A few that I remember are:
My favourites were [name]Isabel[/name], [name]Nora[/name], [name]Jean[/name] and [name]Meredith[/name].
It was actually the first time I’d heard [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name] on anybody other than children. Funny that they already seem so ‘new’ already (although [name]Isabel[/name] is pretty classic to me. It’s never been VERY unpopular)
I love [name]Isabel[/name], [name]Olive[/name], and [name]Esther[/name]! I also have a bit of a crush on [name]Olga[/name]–I always used to think it was pretty awful, but after meeting several of them I’ve come to like it… sort of.
I met a sweet little old lady named [name]Beatriz[/name] today–I was quite impressed.
[name]Isabel[/name], [name]Esther[/name], [name]Nora[/name], [name]Jean[/name], [name]Vera[/name] and [name]Meredith[/name] are quite fine. Everything old will soon be new again!
