Hi all! I posted a few weeks back with some names asking for opinions. I wanted to ask again for opinions on the following names (some the same), along with some name combinations. Also, I’d love to get some suggestions for middle names that either begin with L or sound similar to “Lisa”. I don’t want to use Lisa as a middle name, but anything inspired by it that sounds good with the first name. So far, “Elise” has come to mind. Thoughts on the following?
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]- I really like it. I love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] but have never lived any of the nn, [name_f]Tilla[/name_f] is such a refreshing choice. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite from your list.
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]- I like it.
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]- I really like [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is nice but something doesn’t flow 100%, how about [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f].
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]- it’s a perfectly nice name, just not my personal style.
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] - warm, stylish and sweet
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] (nickname “Tilla”) -strong, feminine and lovely
[name_f]Ines[/name_f] - sleek and international
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] - fresh, bright and lovely
Some middles
[name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (since [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] is a variant of [name_f]Liza[/name_f], from Elizabeth)
[name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] (similar letters, same meaning)
[name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] ~ classy with a euro chic feel. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is elegant, sophisticated and you can have the sweet nickname [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] with her as well. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] sounds great in the middle slot.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] ~ I absolutely love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] she’s sweet, wholesome and very timeless. She has a range of lovely nicknames and I absolutely love them all including the one your planning to use. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] also sounds great in the middle.
[name_f]Ines[/name_f] ~ she’s very classy, graceful eurochic choice that feels different. I think as a middle name [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] could definitely work.
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] ~ a nameberry darling! She’s strong, classic, vintage and feels fashionable. I also really like the idea of [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] for [name_f]Willa[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] she’s so welcoming and fun!
[name_m]Just[/name_m] thought I’d let you know that [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is [name_f]Margot[/name_f] Robbie’s middle name. Not that that needs to be an issue, it’s completely up to you whether that bothers you. It was actually a combo I toyed around with before I realised that. On my shortlist currently is [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f].
I really love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] too especially with nn [name_f]Tilla[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f] too, you don’t have a mn on your list so I’ll suggest:
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] (on my shortlist)
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] Frances/ [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
The only name on your list which I am not a fan of is [name_f]Ines[/name_f] simply because of a reality TV personality (Ines from married at first sight Australia 2019 in case you’re wondering)
You have a great list and seriously can’t go wrong.
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]: I adore [name_f]Margot[/name_f], it’s elegant and chic. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is as well so they go wonderfully together. And [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is a great alternative to Lisa.,
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]: [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is another one of my favourites. It’s whimsical and strong and [name_f]Tilla[/name_f] is a lovely, unique nickname. The only thing here is that the vowels at the end of the first name and the beginning of the middle affect the flow a bit but I don’t think it’s a huge problem.
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]: Why not [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]? I think that’s a beautiful combination. Otherwise, how about [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f]? [name_u]Or[/name_u], straying away from Lisa-inspired/L middles, how about [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u], [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] or [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] / [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]?
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. It’s got such a carefree, cool, girl next door vibe. How about [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] or [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]?
[name_u]Lisa[/name_u] is a derivative of [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], so some variations of that might work for middles.
[name_f]Liesel[/name_f]
[name_f]Liza[/name_f]
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
[name_f]Lisbet[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Ilse[/name_f]
[name_u]Isa[/name_u]
[name_f]Lisette[/name_f]
As far as combos I might go with [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Lisette[/name_f].
