I went to visit my great-great grandmother today, and as usual I went through her old pictures. I was also noticing names.

Her name is [name]Alberta[/name]. I cant remember her fathers name, but her mom was [name]Birdie[/name]. She had siblings named:

My great-great grandfathers name was Ralph. He had siblings named:

Oh how I love old names. I really wish my Mammaws name was Rowena or Geneva instead of Alberta. I’d totally name my future daughter after her.

I love [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Opal[/name] - and I actually don’t mind [name]Alberta[/name] at all. It’s very vintage and could be considered a nouveau place name, too, since it’s a province in [name]Canada[/name]. It’s got a common nickname built in with [name]Ally[/name] - and you could also use something like [name]Albie[/name], [name]Bertie[/name] or even [name]Betty[/name].
