I like it. A few years ago it was kind of obscure, but now I am seeing it being discussed on name boards all the time.

Rhyming with [name]Melody[/name], because I think that is how it’s pronounced in English. I like the French pronunciation better though.

I would not be that surprised since I see people are discussing and using this name quite a bit now. I would tell the parents that I liked the name.

I think it suits someone of any age. It’s not a new name although people might see it as one.

I think a lot of middle names go with it - plain one-syllable ones like [name]Jane[/name] as well as longer names. Definitely a feminine name though, not a unisex one.

[name]EL[/name] la dee, rhymes with [name]Melody[/name] (I’m English if that makes a difference) The ONLY thing that puts me off this name is that it sounds a little like you’re just saying the letters L-O-D. Maybe that’s just me being weird though, I still think it’s pretty

I actually babysit a four-year-old [name]Elodie[/name]. She has no French background (as far as I know) and pronounces her name to rhyme with [name]Melody[/name], which I think is much more realistic in the US than the more authentic eh-loh-[name]DEE[/name]. I think it’s lovely and definitely usable, and I can see an [name]Elodie[/name] of any age, baby or adult. Combos:
