Some quirky, vintage gems

I love slightly quirky boys’ names.

Here’s some of my favorites. What do you think?

[name]Tarquin[/name]

[name]Montgomery[/name]

[name]Linus[/name]

[name]Beauregard[/name]

[name]Ignatius[/name]

Larabee

[name]Ulysses[/name]

My favorites are [name]Montgomery[/name] and [name]Linus[/name]. But I think all of them would be a mouthful for kids on the playground, unless you have a good nickname!

My favorite is [name]Ulysses[/name]! [name]Love[/name] love love that one so much!! My second favorite is [name]Tarquin[/name] and I knew a guy named [name]Montgomery[/name] when I was younger.

My favorites are [name]Linus[/name] and [name]Ulysses[/name]. I’m sort of neutral toward Beuregard, and it seems a bit over the top to me, but I’ve been warming to [name]Beau[/name] lately. I prefer [name]Inigo[/name] to [name]Ignatius[/name], personally.

What’s the Larabee’s background? I really like the look of it, but I’m not sure if I actually like the name. It sort of reminds me of [name]Laramie[/name] said with a stuffy nose, like The [name]Laramie[/name] Project.

I must agree with kitty bitter… they do seem a bit much. Maybe you could use them as middle names? My favorite is [name]Montgomery[/name].

[name]Beauregard[/name] is my favourite (I would probably call him [name]Bo[/name]/[name]Beau[/name] but I wouldn’t use those without a fuller first name)

Followed by [name]Ulysses[/name]. Though, I have a secret fondness for [name]Virgil[/name].

[name]Tarquin[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it. The trick would be to get people to pronounce it correctly.
[name]Montgomery[/name] - I knew an unpleasant guy with this name in grade school, so I have a negative view of it.
[name]Linus[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Beauregard[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! Though I would probably use it as a mn and use just [name]Beau[/name] as a fn.
[name]Ignatius[/name] - I appreciate the quirkiness of it, but I wouldn’t use it myself.
Larabee - Could be a good mn.
[name]Ulysses[/name] - I like it!

Thanks everyone for your replys!
I’ll have to add [name]Virgil[/name] to my list too. That’s a great name.
The story behind Larabee is it is a variation of the surname of the brothers [name]David[/name] and [name]Linus[/name] Larrabee in the [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn, [name]Humphrey[/name] [name]Bogart[/name] classic movie “[name]Sabrina[/name]” which is one of my favorite movies.

I like [name]Ulysses[/name] a lot too. Here are some others:

[name]Sylvester[/name]
[name]Geoffrey[/name]
