I’ve posted before but still don’t feel like we’ve got the one. I think I like “soft” boys names… ones with kind of a soft/gentle sound to them… but also not ones that are overly common or feel ‘cool’ (e.g. [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] is nice, but feels too cool/surfer).
Some that I like are [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_m]Ross[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_u]Dorian[/name_u], [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m], [name_m]Dominic[/name_m], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_m]Edmond[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_u]Alfie[/name_u]…
Partner has vetoed all of these (except [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m], [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u], and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] which he likes but are probably unusable due to close family connections). The only other names he likes are [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u].
I think [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] are okay, but kind of plain somehow.
Are there any others more like mine that he might also like? The styles aren’t crazily different. [name_m]Can[/name_m]’t start with an L.
I personally love [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u]. I don’t know if this is something you’re looking for but I thought I’d share. Good luck with a name!
I think these names have a soft vibe or otherwise fit: [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Aubin[/name_m], [name_u]Auden[/name_u], [name_u]Gus[/name_u], [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]
Might you consider a more interesting alternative to [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]? Maybe [name_u]Bennett[/name_u], [name_m]Benny[/name_m], [name_m]Benji[/name_m], [name_m]Brecken[/name_m]?
Gentle boy names that come to mind, Forgive any repeats
My son is [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and we are also looking for a ‘soft’ boys name.
Some ideas we have thought about/like:
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_m]Reuben[/name_m]
[name_u]Grayson[/name_u]
[name_u]Jonah[/name_u]
[name_u]Edison[/name_u]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_m]Fraser[/name_m]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
We also like [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], but feel it’s too plain for what we’re looking for too!
Right now for me the names that feel the most like unique soft boy names are [name_u]Bodhi[/name_u] and [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]. [name_m]Barnabas[/name_m] and Bodin also com to mind.
You could try for a “less plain” middle with [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]. I personally don’t see [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] as plain i think he is under rated.
[name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_u]Dorian[/name_u]
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_u]Alfie[/name_u]
Peter
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_u]Seth[/name_u]
[name_m]Wilfred[/name_m]
[name_u]Laurence[/name_u]
[name_m]Nathan[/name_m] or [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
Some retro names which you may consider to have softer sounds and also win your partner’s heart:
[name_m]Russell[/name_m]
[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m]
[name_m]Edgar[/name_m]
[name_m]Edwin[/name_m]
Wildfred oops this is meant to be Wilfred!
[name_m]Osmund[/name_m]
I was actually going to recommend [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] until I saw you said it felt too cool. It doesn’t have that vibe to me, but your opinion is the one that matters. I like [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m], [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u], and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] too but whether they’re usable to you is another thing.
