We’re pregnant with our third baby which has come as a good surprise, but we’re out of names! We have [name_m]Declan[/name_m] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] ([name_m]Peter[/name_m] is FIL’s name) and [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] [name_f]Siobhan[/name_f] (wanted an Irish name in there because my husband has Irish background and I always wanted to call a little girl [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]).
If we have a boy we’re happy with [name_m]Eamon[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] ([name_m]David[/name_m] is dad’s name) but we’re stuck with a girl’s name. We’d possibly use [name_f]Roisin[/name_f] as a middle name, and I like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. We have a family friend [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] so that’s out, and I don’t think my husband’s too keen on [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (but has no other suggestions!)
Any suggestions for something that’s not too out there? My husband doesn’t like what he calls weird names…
I really like [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]. I think it sounds nice with [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] and [name_m]Declan[/name_m]. Are you going with an Irish middle again? I also like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] with a C.
Thanks for the suggestions so far! I’ll run them past DH when I see him next (both work shift work!) and see if he will go for any…
Yeah, I think we will go for an Irish middle name again. I like [name_f]Roisin[/name_f] but open to suggestions if something else fits the first name better. Most important thing is her first name!
Can’t go [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] as that’s my [name_m]SIL[/name_m]'s name, and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is her daughter so probably not [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] either…
I do like [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and it was something else I’d thought of but not run by DH as I want [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], so I’m glad that came up in the suggestions! There were a few more there too that I liked, so thanks
I read out all the names to DH yesterday morning and bugger me, he said I could have [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]! So thanks for all of the suggestions, but they won’t be needed!
And I mentioned to a friend today that we were going to use [name_m]Eamon[/name_m] for a boy and she said she immediately thinks of [name_m]Amen[/name_m], as in the religious [name_m]Amen[/name_m]. DH is not concerned so it will be a funny day if it turns out this one’s a boy! Lol
