[name_f]Love[/name_f] the name [name_f]Iris[/name_f], but my husband has suddenly remembered an [name_f]Iris[/name_f] from work which precludes him wanting to use the name. Our daughter is [name_f]Asha[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] (though we are not [name_f]Indian[/name_f]). Sons are [name_m]Coen[/name_m] (aboriginal…we were in Australia) and [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m].
So we like short names. We also like everyone to get their own first initial…mom is L, dad D. A name that is girly, vintage sounding, pretty. No L, D, c, v, or A. also can’t end in elle or ella to avoid last name rhymy sound. Not so unusual that no one can pronounce, but different enough to not be in the top 100 names. Last baby, I liked [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], but husband hated. We are in trouble!
Only a few weeks left. Need some ideas/inspiration badly. Any help appreciated!
My first thoughts were [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], and [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but you’ve ruled out those first initials. Hmm…
Thanks for the suggestions! Like [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. Not loving anything as much as [name_f]Iris[/name_f], but I’ll have to toss these around…will probably take time to get over my attachment.
