Somewhat Unrealistic Adoption Game

[name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] [name_u]Aster[/name_u] [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] [name_m]Lev[/name_m] are starting a family!

2022: [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] adopt four children from [name_f]China[/name_f]. They adopt a 12 year old boy and a 10 year old girl who are unrelated. While at the orphanage they also fall in love 5 year old twin girls who they also adopt. They choose to help their children pick [name_f]English[/name_f] first names, but keep their Chinese names as middle names. They welcome home [name_u]Logan[/name_u] Chang-Bo, [name_f]Layla[/name_f] Ai-Ju, [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] He-Lei [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] Mei-Ling [name_u]Izzy[/name_u]
2023: Shiloh’s sister and brother tragically pass away in a car accident, leaving behind a 3 year old son. [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] adopt [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Hayden[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_u]Drew[/name_u]!
2024: The family decides that since [name_u]Logan[/name_u], [name_f]Layla[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], and [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] have had time to settle into the United States, it is time for another adoption! They adopt a an 8 year old boy from [name_u]South[/name_u] Korea. They keep his Korean name for his middle name and help him pick his own [name_f]English[/name_f] first name. The family of 7 becomes a family of eight as they welcome [name_u]Henry[/name_u] Dae-Seong!
2025: [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] hear that there is a set of triplets in their state that need an emergency foster placement. The family opens their home to the 7 year old boys, two who have special needs. [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] [name_u]Eli[/name_u], [name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_m]Jase[/name_m], and [name_m]Ronald[/name_m] [name_m]Caden[/name_m] join the family.
2026: [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] get a phone call in the middle of the night. Eadlyn’s third cousin in Switzerland has died from cancer, and for unbeknownst reasons has requested that [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] becomes the guardian of her two children, 5 year old Josseline [name_f]Avril[/name_f] Heroux and 2 year old [name_m]Bastien[/name_m] [name_m]Isidore[/name_m] Heroux!
2027: [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] decide to adopt a newborn baby from [name_u]Texas[/name_u]! They name her [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_m]Lev[/name_m] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
2028: [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] look overseas to adopt again. The travel to Uruguay as volunteer and meet three unrelated children at an orphanage. [name_u]An[/name_u] 11 year old girl, a 6 year old girl, and a 5 year old girl. They keep the girls names and adopt [name_f]Dalia[/name_f] [name_f]Jesenia[/name_f], [name_f]Mayra[/name_f] [name_f]Nayeli[/name_f], and [name_f]Amarilis[/name_f] [name_f]Johana[/name_f]
2029: [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] decide to adopt again, this time looking towards Bulgaria and adopt two siblings from an orphanage. A 9 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. [name_m]Dimitar[/name_m] [name_m]Mikhail[/name_m] Dimo and [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f] Vyara [name_m]Sashka[/name_m]
2030: Another emergency foster placement comes up for a set of three siblings. [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] figure that they are already juggling 17 children, 20 won’t break their back, so they accept the children. By the end of the year, [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] have adopted 9 year old [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_u]Carson[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f], 5 year old [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], and 3 year old [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
2031: [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] decide they want one last child. They find a woman in Ohio who is pregnant and wants to give up the baby to adoption. They all think there will be one baby, but are surprised when a second baby is born, leaving [name_f]Eadlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] with boy/girl twins. They name their daughter [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and their son [name_u]Judah[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Lev[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u].

[name_f]Addie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ida[/name_f] with their twenty-five adopted kids

I am back yet again! So sorry for not posting in SO long, maybe this extended timeline can make up for that. Going for the first 20-year generation of this century series. I can’t wait to get on this one since it’s the first time years will intertwine with the first time I did a century series starting in 2012. So there’s some familiar names dropped from that version as well from the responsible and loving [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] to the younger mentoring [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] to his tougher older brother with a soft side [name_m]Oren[/name_m] to [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], who to this day I have still never said exactly what she did at the roller rink that scandalous day…haha. I’ll also have a few of the lesser-known characters of that generation shine. But don’t let the past distract you from the intensity of things happening this generation for this family! I will be doing [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_m]Tynan[/name_m] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] for this generation, he is going to be 25 in the first year and he’s come a long way even before being an adoptive parent. But there’s so much more!

Also [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] if you are reading this, you’re still super amazing. You’ve played my games like a goddess and you are excellent at writing. I credit you, not only for your writing, but also for reviving this thread in [name_u]November[/name_u] 2021 because had you not done that, I may have not even found it. I low-key want to know if Olive & Will are really done adopting kids or if they’re going to come back with another round of adoptions because you left that at such an epic cliffhanger that even I couldn’t creatively imagine. Yes, I do read the other posts here. That being said, another shout-out to kidpix21 for being fabulous and liking all these posts, how sweet! :two_hearts: Hoping anyone and everyone reading this has an awesome day!

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_m]Tynan[/name_m] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] has found even more new beginnings - he is getting married! His wife, [name_f]Sina[/name_f] [name_f]Amber[/name_f], was a single mother prior to marrying him and he adopts her two children, 4-year-old [name_u]Sean[/name_u] [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] and 6-month old [name_u]Bayley[/name_u] [name_f]Deirdre[/name_f]. They are very attached to [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and ask him what his family is like. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] tells them he came from a big family of adopted children and he was one of them. They say “But what about your real family?” [name_u]Jean[/name_u] does not want to explain to small children about the tragic bus crash that killed his biological family and simply answers with “When you have a connection with a family and know it’s right, you are in a real family.”

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] adopts a 6-year-old boy from Guyana. The boy was taken away from his parents because they were careless at parenting and kept their home squalid. He says he is glad to be adopted and he really didn’t want to be with his biological family because they harboured an unsafe environment and he felt like he had no place. He says he would rather have [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] name him because he wants to feel like part of their family now rather than his birth family. He is named [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] [name_u]Avery[/name_u].

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] bonds closer with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] and despite her being adopted two generations before him, she is actually a few months younger and both are born in 1978. She asks him how he is doing with adoptions and he tells her he is planning an adoption from Sudan. He and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] adopt 7-year-old B/G twins [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] [name_m]Osman[/name_m] and [name_f]Yusra[/name_f] [name_f]Omara[/name_f]. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is starting to feel like he’s not himself but tries to shake whatever is making him feel that way.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] go to Sudan’s eastern-bordering country Eritrea. A 3-year-old girl named [name_f]Zandra[/name_f] [name_f]Mayra[/name_f] is adopted. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] are starting to have marital issues and need counseling and get some from [name_m]Lev[/name_m] [name_m]Nikolaj[/name_m] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u]. [name_m]Lev[/name_m] is very likable within the [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] generations and his high-spirit and determination makes him a great counselor, so they solve their issues that year. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] still feels like there’s something he’s afraid of and something he needs help with, but doesn’t tell anyone.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] are having a few more conflicts but are trying their hardest resolving them. They adopt 3 from San [name_m]José[/name_m] with chronic diseases: [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] who is 15 and has asthma, [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_u]Gio[/name_u] who is 14 and has chronic fatigue syndrome, and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_f]Arla[/name_f] who is 10 and has type 1 diabetes. The adoptions go well and all of them manage to live normal lives. All 3 are very intelligent in math and science and some of the younger children join them and get involved with STEM-related activities. 8-year-old [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] tells the family he wants to be an astronaut when he grows up and everyone says they support it.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] adopt three girls from [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] and the Grenadines. They are sisters; 14-year-old [name_f]Vanna[/name_f] [name_f]Mia[/name_f], 10-year-old [name_u]Kay[/name_u] [name_f]Clara[/name_f], and 9-year-old [name_f]Renee[/name_f] [name_f]Jessimine[/name_f]. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] comes to visit the family and says she is inspired by [name_u]Jean[/name_u] for changing his tragic life around and becoming a valuable father to adoptive children and great husband to [name_f]Sina[/name_f]. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is happy to be with [name_f]Sina[/name_f] although what he doesn’t know is [name_f]Sina[/name_f] is not feeling that way as much.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] have tried to patch things up but [name_f]Sina[/name_f] has become too greedy and controlling. They ask [name_m]Lev[/name_m] for advice but [name_m]Lev[/name_m] tells [name_u]Jean[/name_u] that he and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] should get a divorce or at least separate. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] asks [name_m]Lev[/name_m] what he should do about the kids and [name_m]Lev[/name_m] says that honestly [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is better off as a single father and that the rest of the [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] from the previous generations can help [name_u]Jean[/name_u] a lot better than [name_f]Sina[/name_f] can. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] stay legally married, but separate and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] adopts his first son, 6-year-old [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_m]Brock[/name_m], by himself. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] feels more free being separated but still feels he is not where he is supposed to be.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] adopts two Iranian siblings; 13-year-old [name_f]Zara[/name_f] [name_f]Irha[/name_f] and her brother 8-year-old [name_m]Hashir[/name_m] [name_u]Zaki[/name_u]. At this point [name_f]Sina[/name_f] has been looking for other men to date since she is separated from [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] accepts that this separation is inevitably a divorce. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] file for divorce and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] shocks [name_u]Jean[/name_u] when she says she only wants custody of her two children [name_u]Sean[/name_u] and [name_u]Bayley[/name_u] but doesn’t want to be the mom of anyone else anymore. [name_m]Nyle[/name_m], now 12, says he feels betrayed by [name_f]Sina[/name_f] because he thought this would be a real family for him and now she doesn’t want him anymore. [name_f]Zandra[/name_f], now 7, doesn’t understand divorce and thought [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] were reconciled and is angry that they went on with the divorce. The older children tell her that there isn’t anything they can do about that and [name_f]Sina[/name_f] and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] shouldn’t be together anymore. [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u], now 18, says she’s going off to college and she is an adult now so she’s not getting involved in the custody drama. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_u]Sean[/name_u] and [name_u]Bayley[/name_u] are upset that they might lose contact with their adoptive siblings who they have really bonded with and they say they would rather stay with [name_u]Jean[/name_u] if it means they can be with their siblings.

The divorce is finalised and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] has custody of all the children, including [name_u]Sean[/name_u] and [name_u]Bayley[/name_u]. The judge did not approve of the idea of someone only agreeing to have custody of some of the children and denied Sina‘s request to have any form of custody. The children are feeling like there’s a hole in the family after the divorce but are happy [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is a great single father and enjoy spending time with the other [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] of previous generations. [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u] apologises for running off and says even though she is happy to be in college and having a good college life, she will be there for [name_u]Jean[/name_u] when he needs it since a divorce is a big family change. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] forgives her but agrees he needs a break from the insanity and adopts a 13-year-old boy from Barbados named [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]. One night while all the children are asleep, [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is crying in the middle of the night. He unintentionally wakes up [name_m]Nyle[/name_m], who comforts him and tells him that he is a true father and deserves to be respected as such and that it makes [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] sad to see his own father cry. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] hugs [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] but then goes silent and [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] is silent as well. [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] breaks the silence asking if there’s more to it than that and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] nods and tells [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] that he isn’t actually crying because of the divorce, he is crying because it’s been 20 years now since his original family died in a bus crash. [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] asks [name_u]Jean[/name_u] if he can say what his original family was like and tells [name_u]Jean[/name_u] he doesn’t have to answer if he doesn’t feel comfortable. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] says that his mother and father were wonderful people are great at cooking wonderful meals. He says his 2 younger brothers were amazing at cooking as well and he laughs about being the only one there who was a crummy cook. He says his birth family was lower-class but they always knew how to make ends meet and were generous individuals. [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] says he will always support them even if he didn’t know them and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] smiles. The next day, [name_m]Nyle[/name_m] enrolls in a cooking class alongside newly adopted boy [name_m]Paul[/name_m].

The next year, [name_u]Jean[/name_u] takes the children to his old house he grew up in and shows them the garden of the four memorial trees and the Singapore orchids. He says he grew the orchids for his adoptive father [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] and that he was honoured to have the trees there as well. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] visits and says she is best friends with a 39-year-old woman named [name_f]Gina[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_m]Vigo[/name_m] and her 39-year-old husband [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_u]Maurice[/name_u] [name_m]Vigo[/name_m] and that they are also adopting as well and just adopted 3 Brazilians named [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] [name_f]Fabiana[/name_f] (17), [name_m]Thiago[/name_m] [name_m]Santos[/name_m] (12), and [name_m]Joachim[/name_m] [name_m]Moises[/name_m] (4) and that she really supports their family too. [name_m]Lev[/name_m] also visits and says that [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is a wonderful nephew and that like he and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_m]Lev[/name_m] is also born in 1978 and also feels close to them despite being in a different generation than either of them. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] says he is happy to be so close with both of them and adds red roses to the garden in honour of Ruby’s colour name and sunflowers in honour of Lev‘s birth country Ukraine. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] adopts a newborn baby boy he names [name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_m]Ruben[/name_m] after his closest adoptive family members.

It has been 20 years since [name_u]Jean[/name_u] was first adopted and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] gives [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] a gift. He also spends more time with his adoptive siblings who helped him feel great in the family. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is bonding with his adoptive siblings and his Kyrgyz 26-year-old adoptive sister [name_f]Maryana[/name_f] tells him how much things have changed from her feeling out-of-place as the only Kyrgyz to being very integrated as part of the family. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] goes to Tajikistan, a country bordering Kyrgyzstan and adopts 16-year-old [name_f]Alea[/name_f] [name_f]Samiha[/name_f] and her brother 14-year-old [name_m]Ehan[/name_m] [name_m]Haris[/name_m]. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] introduces [name_u]Jean[/name_u] to [name_f]Gina[/name_f] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and the couple says they have been inspired to adopt more and that they are already happy with how their three Brazilian children are at being part of the family. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] meets [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f], now 18, and although she is moved out, she is more than grateful to be part of the family and uses her nurturing instincts. [name_f]Gina[/name_f] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] decide to keep adopting and go to Moldova later that year.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] decides to let the older generational [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] bond with his children like they’ve been wanting to while he goes to Norway. He adopts 16-year-old [name_m]Jansen[/name_m] [name_m]Lars[/name_m] and his 14-year-old sister [name_f]Kirsty[/name_f] [name_f]Elsa[/name_f]. He asks them if they are more understanding than some people, being born in a liberated country, and they say yes but don’t ask [name_u]Jean[/name_u] any more questions because he seems like he doesn’t want to discuss why. The siblings are happy to be adopted together and bond especially well with the other adoptive siblings groups. [name_f]Gina[/name_f] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] say they are continuing their path for more adoptions and [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] says she is dating a man named [name_u]Daniel[/name_u] who is planning on adopting when he is 25. [name_f]Gina[/name_f] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] go to [name_u]Israel[/name_u] later that year.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] adopts 4 siblings from San [name_m]José[/name_m]: 17-year-old [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Christelle[/name_f], 16-year-old [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m], 13-year-old [name_f]Jozlyn[/name_f] [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], and newborn [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_u]Cade[/name_u]. The teens tell [name_u]Jean[/name_u] that they were raised by a single mother who unfortunately died from childbirth complications after giving birth to [name_m]Orlando[/name_m]. They know their mother was older at the time of her pregnancy of [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], thus why he is much younger than his siblings, but never expected her to die. They say they miss her tremendously but don’t want [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] growing up feeling like it’s his fault their mom died. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] says he knows what it’s like to lose family like that unfortunately and says he will do anything for the siblings and will make sure their late mother won’t be forgotten and that [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] will have connections to his late mother even if he never met her.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] is considering adopting another teenager and newborn sibling set from San [name_m]José[/name_m]. The 16-year-old brother, [name_m]Kane[/name_m] [name_u]Brody[/name_u], says that while they are technically half-brothers, he considers his half-brother like a true brother. He says they have the same dad but different moms and that his own mother left his father and the family and they’ve never contacted since. He then explains that his father and girlfriend, who had his newborn brother [name_u]Keegan[/name_u] [name_m]Benson[/name_m], were sent to prison for drug trafficking and the two have been orphaned. [name_m]Kane[/name_m] says he is happy for [name_u]Keegan[/name_u] and finds [name_u]Keegan[/name_u] a great little boy despite the chaos and shares a nice brotherly bond. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] takes both boys in and the other children get along with them. At the end of the year, [name_m]Kane[/name_m] directly calls all of his adoptive siblings “brothers and sisters” explaining “It doesn’t matter if they’re a half-sibling or an adoptive sibling or anything not considered “full”. They’re in my family, they’re my siblings.” [name_u]Jean[/name_u] appreciates this and hopes [name_m]Kane[/name_m] and everyone else will always feel that way about him despite the biology.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] adopts a 17-year-old girl [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] from Haiti, his last teenager. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] says he is considering adopting more infants after this but says he couldn’t help but adopt [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] for her floral first and middle name reminding him of the garden at his old house. [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] smiles and says that she hopes the garden is extra special and [name_u]Jean[/name_u] tells her it is. When they make it back home, [name_u]Jean[/name_u] tells [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] about the garden and what it represents and [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] says it is tragic but beautiful and hopes everyone involved in caring for the garden is proud of helping what it represents. [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] also meets [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] alongside the [name_m]Vigo[/name_m] family. She first meets 22-year-old [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] and the two laugh at how similar their first names are and [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] asks [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] how she is doing. [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] says the year has actually been a mournful one for her family since her maternal aunt [name_f]Tara[/name_f] and maternal uncle [name_m]Marek[/name_m] passed away in a car accident, her paternal niece [name_f]Aly[/name_f] died of muscular dystrophy, and even her own best friend [name_f]Shyla[/name_f] died of cancer. [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] says she is happy for the memories and says her family adopted 4 children from Papua [name_u]New[/name_u] Guinea, changing their middle names to those of the deceased. [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] tells [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] that she is a strong and admirable young woman and that she greatly respects her. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] decides his own garden should have some meaning, just like Jaka’s so he plants 4 memorial trees in his garden too, of the 4 who had died that year.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] asks [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] how the [name_m]Vigo[/name_m] family is doing and she says they are hanging in there although Patrick’s sister [name_f]Marcia[/name_f] is reverting back to alcoholism as a result of her daughter [name_f]Aly[/name_f] passing away. They say that [name_f]Marcia[/name_f] may be unable to raise her 12-year-old son [name_m]Kurt[/name_m] but she does not want to lose contact with him and feel like she lost both her children, so [name_f]Gina[/name_f] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] are in the process of adopting him. Before [name_u]Jean[/name_u] leaves to [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] [name_u]Leone[/name_u], he lets [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] watch after his children while he goes to adopt two infant girls, [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Felicia[/name_f]. On the plane ride home from [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] [name_u]Leone[/name_u], [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is overjoyed by his two new infant daughters in a whole new way and thinks about all the good things they will know when they grow up in the family. He looks at both his daughters and sees a bright and happy future in both of them and mumbles “I love you…and I hope you can love me”. There was something [name_u]Jean[/name_u] had secretly been hiding for a long time and had suppressed during his relationship and marriage with [name_f]Sina[/name_f]. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] wasn’t sure how the rest of the family would think of this and how this would affect adoption but deep down, [name_u]Jean[/name_u] needed to come clean. She was really a woman trapped in a man’s body and man’s identity. And it was time for her to come out.

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] was feeling uncomfortable being closeted but feared that people would not accept her. She decides to go to [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_m]Lev[/name_m], who both say they accept [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and her children should as well. They ask her if she is considering a name change and she says she may consider it. She gathers all her children and brings in the adult children as well and asks how they feel about the LGBTQUIAP+ community. Some of them have already been vocal while some hadn’t spoken much yet. The oldest [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u] says she supports them and is questioning her sexuality. [name_f]Zandra[/name_f] says she is lesbian and [name_f]Alea[/name_f] and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] say they are too. [name_f]Kirsty[/name_f] says she is bisexual and is feeling romantic attraction to a female friend but says the bi community deserves to be equally appreciated. [name_m]Paul[/name_m] says he is gay and agrees gay people should be able to adopt just as equally anywhere as straight people. Everyone nods, especially those from countries who don’t have the privilege of adopting or even freely living their lives as members of the community. [name_f]Renee[/name_f] says she is straight but her boyfriend is a female-to-male transgender. [name_m]Ehan[/name_m] says he relates to [name_f]Renee[/name_f] but he isn’t dating a male-to-female transgender woman although there is one he has a crush on. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] asks them if they agree that they should adopt with their transgender love interests. Both say they’re feeling too young for that and their connection isn’t strong enough so they would decline at the moment. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] asks, “I see your point. But could a transgender adopt if they were fit to be a parent and wanted children?” They both say, “Of course they should.” Everyone else starts talking about how they agree and ponder why bigots would act like being transgender would make someone a terrible parent. [name_m]Jansen[/name_m] says, “They don’t care about parenting. They care about their own views and oppressing others to fit said closed-minded views.” “So I should continue adopting, you’re all okay with that, you can handle a woman now?” Some of the younger children mumble, “Who is the wom-” before being interrupted and [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u] says, “It means she’s transgender!” with [name_f]Zandra[/name_f] saying, “We love you, Mama!” and everyone hugging [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. Everyone unanimously supports her, now all she had to do was adopt! She adopts a baby girl named [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and keeps her birth name due to its unisex glory and whispers to the child, “No matter where you or your fellow adoptive siblings go in life, no matter who you really are, you will always be loved.”

[name_u]Jean[/name_u] has decided to get a name change. As much as she is proud to be herself, she feels she needs a name change to reaffirm herself. She changes her first name to [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] and her middle name [name_f]Melinda[/name_f], after her late mother. She had gone by “Jeanette” for some time but the legal change raised her self esteem immensely. [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] feels her fallen family would be proud of her for finding herself as well as finding her children over the years to adopt them into her life. She adopts a 13-year-old boy who goes by the name [name_u]David[/name_u] [name_m]Sedrick[/name_m] who was disowned by his parents because he was born a girl. She also takes in his 6-year-old brother [name_u]Wade[/name_u] [name_m]Mylo[/name_m] who was born a boy but was also sent to adoption after playing with glitter makeup, which the parents disapproved. [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] reassured them that she will never give them up for who they are and says she supports all her children. She legally changes the transgender boy’s name to his preferred name of [name_u]David[/name_u] [name_m]Sedrick[/name_m].

[name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] focuses her time on helping fellow LGBT kids, adopting 16-year-old lesbian [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Klaudia[/name_f], 14-year-old gay [name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_u]Dallas[/name_u], and 13-year-old bisexual [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f]. They are all immediately welcomed into the house. They also meet the adult children and [name_m]Ehan[/name_m] tells them how happy he is that he and his crush are now in a steady relationship. [name_f]Renee[/name_f] says she and her boyfriend are taking a vacation. Neither of them are complaining about their lovers being trans because that is just a part of them and wonder how much farther everyone could get in life if they all just chose to love and not to hate. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_m]Lev[/name_m] applaud [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] on how finding herself made the family stronger, the former saying she told [name_f]Gina[/name_f] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]Vigo[/name_m] to have those same talks with their children. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] says [name_f]Gina[/name_f] and Patrick’s children [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Jenna[/name_f], and [name_m]Joachim[/name_m] came out as homosexual last year and the family has all given them their support. [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] is pleased by this and sees herself as a true role model, not just a parent.

[name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] decides on one last adoption from San [name_m]Jose[/name_m] - this time a non-binary teen. She adopts 17-year-old [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_u]Tatum[/name_u]. [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is excited to be part of the family and tells [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] she is lucky to have her but [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] says, “No I’m lucky to have you.” [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] talks about how being a trans woman has made her feel complete as the gender she was meant to be born as and the true luck nd privilege of being able to adopt and be accepted as the woman she is. The family goes back to the backyard garden, this time planting flowers of different colours to make a rainbow. They see how far the garden has come, a true testament to the time that passes on. [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] remind [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] the garden was always all about her and she is an inspiration, with the garden constantly proving it. [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] comes by and [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] reminds them [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] was the true mind behind the garden. [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] says he is flattered but the ones behind it were the spirits of Jeanette’s late relatives. [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] hugs [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] and cries, but only tears of joy over how flattered she was that they were still remembered so well years later. [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] rounds up her 38 adoptive children and allows them to plant any type of plant in the garden to remind them of their presence. [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] asks [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] if she’s sure she wants all those different plants in one garden. [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] smiles and nods, saying “Everyone is welcome. Equal love needs equal representation.”
