What do you think of names that end in -son? what are your favorites/least favorites? Have you come across any unusual ones in real life?
Also, do you have an specific opinions, impressions or experiences with these:
[name]Anderson[/name]
Camson (nn [name]Cam[/name])
[name]Carson[/name]
[name]Emerson[/name]
[name]Grayson[/name]/[name]Greyson[/name]
[name]Jameson[/name] (nn [name]James[/name])
[name]Jenson[/name]
[name]Watson[/name] (nn [name]Watt[/name])
I like-son names a lot nd I constantly run into boys ( and girls) with them. I see [name]Jackson[/name], [name]Addison[/name], [name]Madison[/name], and [name]Grayson[/name] a lot!
My favorites are probably [name]Harrison[/name], [name]Jameson[/name] and [name]Jenson[/name] though I prefer the [name]Jensen[/name] spelling. I like [name]Addison[/name] and [name]Madison[/name] for girls but I would never use them.
I like -son names on boys, where they belong. I love [name]Carson[/name] and [name]Grayson[/name], and have known darling little boys with those names. I also like [name]Harrison[/name], [name]Anderson[/name], and [name]Jameson[/name], and don’t mind [name]Jackson[/name] or [name]Addison[/name]. I don’t like [name]Madison[/name] at all.
I like [name]Anderson[/name], [name]Greyson[/name], and [name]Jameson[/name] the best!! My least fav is [name]Emerson[/name], because it is too girly these days I think.
I like ‘son’ names for both boys and girls!
boy:
[name]Nelson[/name]
[name]Tenison[/name]
[name]Benson[/name]
[name]Dawson[/name]
[name]Gibson[/name]
[name]Hudson[/name]
[name]Lawson[/name]
girl -
[name]Crimson[/name]
[name]Emerson[/name]
[name]Ellison[/name]
[name]Jensen[/name] (this is how I prefer girl version)
I love -son names! They’d probably make up half my list if I let them.
[name]Grayson[/name], [name]Hudson[/name], [name]Emerson[/name], [name]Edison[/name], and [name]Addison[/name] are my favorites (I love [name]Addison[/name] for a girl, too, but I would only ever use it for a boy. I know a family in the UK who has a little boy named [name]Addison[/name], and he is just the cutest thing ever! It’s hard for me to see [name]Addison[/name] on a girl these days now…), but I also quite like [name]Harrison[/name] and [name]Jensen[/name] lately. And I can sort of appreciate [name]Garrison[/name] and [name]Anderson[/name].
[name]Jackson[/name]: has been ruined for me by both its commonness and the whole [name]Jaxon[/name]/[name]Jaxson[/name]/[name]Jacksin[/name]/Jacksyn malarkey.
[name]Jameson[/name]: I used to [name]LOVE[/name] this name (for a girl, but either which way) but my husband was concerned about the association with well known pornography actor [name]Jenna[/name] [name]Jameson[/name] as a potential for future teasing.
[name]Hudson[/name]: Lots of dogs named [name]Hudson[/name], it’s the new “[name]Bailey[/name]” of dogs.
[name]Anderson[/name]: TOO [name]Anderson[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] now, he’s kind of [name]Oprah[/name]'d the name.
[name]Garrison[/name]: would be good except the nickname [name]Garry[/name] is dreadful. The whole [name]Garrison[/name] Keiler association is pretty cool.
[name]Benson[/name]: isn’t that an 80s show about a butler? Poor association, plus “[name]Ben[/name]” is a yawn for a nickname.
My faves:
[name]Dawson[/name]: total guilty pleasure, but I think nn “Daws” is cute and the whole [name]Dawson[/name]'s Creek thing is a very narrow generational association
[name]Greyson[/name]: I like [name]Greyson[/name], but it’s becoming very common. Cute nickname though, [name]Grey[/name].
[name]Harrison[/name]: By far my favourite. “H” or [name]Harry[/name] for nicknames? Adorable.
