I’ve been rapidly warming to this recently, and find it very alluring. What do you think? Any names that you think might work as long names? I was vaguely thinking [name_f]Simona[/name_f] - Song doesn’t strike me as a nn that needs heaps of correlation to the full name, sort of like [name_m]Bear[/name_m]'s often used more freely than, say, [name_m]Tommy[/name_m].
EDIT: As a follow-up question leading on from the replies below, could you pair Song with a second middle name to make two middles, particularly with Song in the first middle name spot?
_____ Song {insert suggestion} / ______ {insert suggestion} Song
e.g. Adelia Song, Song Amoret.
I think Song could work as a pet name. No need for a full name to work for the nickname Song. If you would rather have a full name, maybe [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f]…or a bigger stretch, Cadance.
The first thing I thought of was [name_f]Melody[/name_f] nn Song. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] nn Song would work, as well. I agree with @lovemysweeties though. You can use Song as a pet name without it having any real connection to the first name.
I think it’d make an interesting middle name. I agree that you don’t need to connect it to the first name.
You could use a musical name or a bird name, but like @southern.maple said you could also use it as a middle name.
I agree with the previous posters that it could be a name with a musical meaning ! I also really like all their suggestions and would like to add [name_f]Sonata[/name_f] and [name_f]Avis[/name_f]
Thank you all!
I think I’d either use it as a middle name or a pet name, as has been suggested - I like the idea of [name_f]Odelia[/name_f] (“I will praise the [name_m]LORD[/name_m]”; an ode = song) nn. Song, especially as I haven’t quite found a nn that I like and that feels like a nickname.
I like the names suggested, particularly [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] and [name_f]Melody[/name_f], but in reality probably wouldn’t consider them. They’re very pretty though!
As a follow-up question (if anyone feels inclined to answer!) - could you pair Song with a second middle name to make two middles? So, _____ Song {insert suggestion} or ______ {insert suggestion} Song, where ______ indicates a blank for a first name of my choice.
Thanks again!
