Sophia Sage?

I really love the sound of [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. I’m just afraid that it’s too much. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is my favourite girls name and I don’t know anyone with this name so it’s not popular or overused to me.

I was just playing around with it and I came up with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. With [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f], I’m afraid that it’s too frilly.

Is [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] too much?

Thanks!

I love [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]! [name_u]Sage[/name_u] grounds [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] nicely, giving it an earthy/herbal feel. I like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] too, but it doesn’t have quite the same punch as [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. Both are pretty though.

I think it’s adorable. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] doesn’t have great flow for me though it’s cute too!

Edited for privacy.

[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] isn’t too much at all, it’s lovely! I do prefer [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f], but that’s only because I prefer [name_f]Lily[/name_f] to [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. Both combos sound great.

Thanks guys!

I think it’s great

Alliterative names can be tricky, but [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] sounds very nice. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is my favorite too!

To me it just sounds like bristling bushes. too many “s”,“f” and “jh” sounds, like I’m using the front of my mouth too much when I’m saying it. I’m not sure if tht makes sense. It just doen’t flow for me. There is too much friction. Plus, the double S sounds cheesy like a comic book character. I love both [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. Honestly, all of my misgivings about the name are all entirely subjective. If you love it then I say go for it!

[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] does sound pretty frilly (and it rhymes). [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] doesn’t sound like too much to me, but it’s all about preference. I personally prefer [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] to [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f].

My only concern is that [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] means “wisdom” and sage can mean “a profoundly wise person”. I think it’s a little too much. That being said, I like [name_u]Sage[/name_u], it makes a great middle name.

I agree that [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is brilliant! I actually love [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f], too, but I agree–if you want spunk, [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is the way to go. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is more dainty and girly.
