We have a bit of a floral theme with our girls ([name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]) so if baby is a girl I think we shall stick with that – possibly [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] OR [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?
My husband and I cannot seem to reach a decision on the spelling. I like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] while he favours [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]. I don’t have an actual dislike for [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], I just prefer the look of [name_f]Sophia[/name_f].
WDYT?
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] or [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]?
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?
[name_m]How[/name_m] does [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] sound with siblings [name_m]Harry[/name_m], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]?
I like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] for you. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] feels like more of a Spanish name to me whereas your kids have English seeming names ([name_f]Louisa[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Luisa[/name_f]). [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] feels a bit juvenile to me. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is pretty, but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very popular as a middle name. Since [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is also popular I would pick something more unusual. As someone with a popular name personally I liked having a more unusual middle name.
I’m not a fan of the name [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] at all, but I do prefer [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is very sweet too, but it’s just to close too the extremely common [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], while [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] looks a bit more spunky and unique.
Both [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are lovely, but I have to say I favour the former over the latter. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] (or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]) [name_f]Posy[/name_f] is absolutely adorable, but I think I’d spell [name_f]Posy[/name_f] with an ‘e’; [name_f]Posey[/name_f]. I think it definitely goes well with the other siblings names as well.
I like both, but do prefer [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] myself. Either spelling works with her siblings, and [name_f]Posy[/name_f] makes for a lovely middle, so you can’t go wrong, whichever spelling you ultimately go with.
What lovely names your children have! I would use [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] since you have [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] not [name_f]Luisa[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] is quite lovely!
I’m here for the ph. It makes the name seem more like… deep and full? [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] looks a whole lot more rich and velvety than [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], which just makes me think of the color pink for some reason
I can’t help but feel that [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] reminds me of Sofa. So not too sure about that. I think [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] has a more sophisticated, almost jewel-like quality about it that makes it a lovely name. I also like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] a lot. Of course it’s completelt up to you and don’t let others sway you if you’ve already made a decision. Good luck ! Xx
I think I prefer the [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] spelling as it gives you the nickname [name_f]Fia[/name_f] which I think is gorgeous! I do like [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] it’s very sweet and adorable but I think I would prefer to have [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a middle name over [name_f]Posy[/name_f] as an adult, so my vote goes to:
[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
