Is this name really that popular? I think it may depend on where u live. Where I live its number 30 and I have never heard anyone named that but one little girl who is 5. I have written it off because I thought it was to popular but I cant seem to find any name I like better
It’s definitely not that popular where I live and I really like it, it’s a classic, feminine, beautiful name. I think if you love it and can’t think of anything you love more, popularity alone shouldn’t put you off.
Good [name]Luck[/name]

If [name]Sophia[/name] is only #30 where you live, I don’t think it’s too popular (and certainly less so than the national #7). Personally, I would use it if with an uncommon surname or middle name.
Good luck!
Check and combine it with [name]Sophie[/name]'s ranking where you live. And keep in mind that [name]Sophia[/name] might go away to college and be one of 3 Sophias on her floor.
I dont think a name is ever too popular to use if you love it. My sister named her son [name]Jacob[/name] and he is the only one in his class. Having a popular name doesnt mean there will be a gauranteed 3 other Sophias in her class, however there might be. Think of it this way, the name [name]Sophia[/name] is popular because so many people think it is an amazing name.
I love the name [name]Sophia[/name] it was my favorite at one time before it became so popular. It is even more popular if you consider the alternate spelling [name]Sofia[/name] as well as [name]Sofie[/name] and [name]Sophie[/name]…
Yeah I looked on the social security website and of course it was for 2008 so it could have moved up. But [name]Sophia[/name] was 30, [name]Sofia[/name] wasway down the list and [name]Sophie[/name] was like 80. I hear around here alot more Emmas, [name]Madison[/name], [name]Lily[/name], [name]Ava[/name]
