[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone,
DH and I love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], however we’re not sure about alliteration in names. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Specter sounds cheesy or sweet. Am I thinking too much into this?
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone,
DH and I love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], however we’re not sure about alliteration in names. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Specter sounds cheesy or sweet. Am I thinking too much into this?
I am an unapologetic fan of alliteration, and I love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Specter!
If you both really love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] then I’d say go for it. It’s a pretty name with a nice meaning.
It doesn’t sound QUITE right to me, but I’m not quite sure why… I don’t think it’s the alliteration ([name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] sounds OK), but maybe the combination of the alliteration with a surname that, at least to me, is quite unusual (makes me think of spectre/ghost!).
Like… [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] Specter sounds better to me, but I can’t put my finger on why. (Chose [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] as comparison as there’s no alliteration, but same syllables and vowel sounds, and I think the same type of people might like it, given that I’m a [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] was on my Mum’s shortlist!)
I also love alliteration, especially with first and last names, so I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Specter sounds charming!
Most alliterations don’t bother me
I think it sounds fine!
I tend to find the best flow with alliteration names is when they have a different number of syllables, and different ending sounds. You have the different ending sounds, but something like [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f]/[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] Specter would have better flow to my ear.
And I’m not overly fond of SS as initials.
love it very cute and respectable
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Specter is such a sweet name! Also think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is adorable.
I think it works. You only get into problems with alliterative names when it is something like [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m].
I think it sounds fine!
I think it sounds fine. What middle name are you thinking about?
[name_f]Susan[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Specter is lovely, sophisticated and memorable.
I love it!
