I prefer [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], but I had bad experiences with Sophies growing up, and it made me have a strong dislike for the name. I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] could work as a nn for [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] too, but I have only ever known Sophias to go by [name_f]Soph[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] could be a nickname for [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], but I vastly prefer [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. The extra syllable gives it some sophistication and elegance which I just adore! [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is cute and sweet but [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is gorgeous.
