I voted [name]Sophia[/name], because I prefer it, but then I read your msg and I think you should go with [name]Sophie[/name]! You want to use [name]Isabella[/name], which is your grandmother’s name and it goes very well with [name]Sophie[/name]! [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] is a beautiful and solid choice and it would be a shame if you have to alter your grandmother’s name, because your family prefers [name]Sophia[/name], while you are going to call her [name]Sophie[/name] anyway! So, I vote: stick with [name]Isabella[/name] and stick with [name]Sophie[/name]. It is a beautiful name that doesn’t deserve any criticism! Good luck deciding!
I much prefer [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name]. Best of luck with your decision!
I prefer [name]Sophie[/name] and since it’s your favorite, you should go with it! [name]Don[/name]'t let your family give your child a name, it’s your child! And what’s the point of [name]Sophia[/name] if you’re going to call her [name]Sophie[/name] anyway? I would go with [name]Sophie[/name] just so you don’t regret it or end up having a child that says “Why didn’t you just name me [name]Sophie[/name]?” I hear my friends say that all the time, the funny think is they are both [name]Katherine[/name]'s but prefer [name]Katie[/name]. Their mom’s wanted to name them [name]Katie[/name], but family talked them into the full name.
I voted [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name]! I have preferred just [name]Sophie[/name] for so long now, but lately I find myself very smitten with [name]Sophia[/name]/[name]Sofia[/name]… it seems to have more charm and [name]Sophia[/name] nn [name]Sophie[/name] has a layer of depth I don’t think just [name]Sophie[/name] has. Besides, [name]Isabelle[/name] is my favorite girls’ name, so I like that a lot more than [name]Isabella[/name]… which is what sealed the deal.
[name]Both[/name] are lovely, though!
The poll is 9 Votes to 10 votes lol more votes please?
To me they both sound equally lovely. So I say go with [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name].
I voted for [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] before I read your post. I definitely vote for [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name]!
I’m sry but they are the same name to me! [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Sophie[/name]. [name]Sylvia[/name] and [name]Sylvie[/name]. All the same!! [name]Sophia[/name] I. Surname will look better on a resume.
No need to say sorry!! Opinions are what I’m after…you wont hurt my feelings with honesty. I would only be offended if you lied lol
They are quite similar, but I firmly vote [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name]. The first reason being that you’re going to call her [name]Sophie[/name] regardless, which is what you and your husband want. The second reason being that you use your grandmother’s actual name as you wanted and not variate both just to please your family. They [name]WILL[/name] adjust to whatever name you give her. And if they give you crap, go hormonal on them. They will apologize (as they should I might add) and it will never happen again.
What poppy posted is really my concern with just plain [name]Sophie[/name]. Does it age well or sound professional if she wanted a very professional job? If worst came to worst could she just use S. [name]Isabella[/name] McC**** on her resume or paperwork? I really like [name]Sophie[/name] better but this was the point made by my family that made me do a double take.
Go for [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name]! Seems like a no brainer to me… you prefer [name]Sophie[/name] and you prefer [name]Isabella[/name] and they both sound great together! I think [name]Sophie[/name] has way more energy and spunk anyways, [name]Sophia[/name] is a little frilly for my taste. And I think [name]Sophie[/name] will age just fine and look perfectly respectable on a resume too! Congratulations on your girl!
I’ve always preferred [name]Sophie[/name] so i voted that x
Although I prefer [name]Sophia[/name] to [name]Sophie[/name], given your reasons for leaning more towards [name]Sophie[/name], as well as [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] sounding smoother to me ear, she got my vote.
[name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] is lovely!
I’m a 20 year old [name]Sophie[/name] and I’ve never had problems with my name. I think it can sound professional, and that’s not bias either. It’s a popular, legit name which is spelt correctly, has been around for years and doesn’t sound silly on an adult (comparing to names like [name]Princess[/name] or [name]Fifi[/name] here). [name]Sophie[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name], to me, are two completely separate names, and if you’re going to call her [name]Sophie[/name] exclusively you’ll just make things more complicated calling her the frillier [name]Sophia[/name] on her birth certificate once she reaches school age. Plus [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] flows better than [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] to me (2,4 vs 3,3). There’s a reason [name]Sophie[/name] has been top 10 in the UK for like 20 years now. In fact given the current boom of [name]Isabelle[/name]/as I’d say [name]Sophie[/name] would probably age better in terms of not being able to date when she was born 50 years down the line.
Honestly I don’t get why people worry about the “resume” name so much. You are not going to not get the job just because your name isn’t “professional” sounding. I find that ridiculous. She should age fine with the name.
[name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name], definitely! I do consider [name]Sophie[/name] to be a name that will age well. [name]Sophie[/name] is a classic, in my opinion!
I’ve always preferred the sweet and down-to-earth [name]Sophie[/name] myself to the more glamourous [name]Sophia[/name]. [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] gets my vote!
Well thank you berries! You have really made my nerves better. I feel kind of silly now for reconsidering my choice.
