I actually really like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] with [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] (though I prefer [name_m]Augustine[/name_m], with the added “e”)! That is, however, if [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] doesn’t go by a nickname like “Lo” or “[name_u]Lou[/name_u]” because then it might be too close to [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], on her own, is such a stunning name anyway and none of the typical nicknames really do the full name justice!
They’re all such lovely names, familiar, but not too common. Definitely has a cool, class vibe to that sibset.
However, I still think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] would be great with [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] ([name_u]Gus[/name_u]), too! I know it sucks that it’s so high up the list (I’m shocked it’s that high too, though I only know one little [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]), but you might want to look at the stats for your state before writing it off. It’s such a lovely name!
I don’t think they clash too much. I’m a [name_f]Margot[/name_f] fan too so that’s so disappointing! [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] isn’t too close to [name_m]Leo[/name_m], imo especially if you’re planning to use the nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. I don’t think that sibsets have to match as such either as my naming styles are different for both boys and girls so I’m glad you’ve got a good mix X
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] aren’t my favorites. I think because the middle sound in [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] but with the vowels flip-flopped. Still seems kind of matchy. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is so fantastic, it is a shame it sounds so bad with [name_m]Leo[/name_m]… did you consider [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]? I think it is such a lovely alternative to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f], and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] make a great sibset.
Yes, [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is my absolute favorite girl name on the planet. It really is a shame I still debate in my head over whether I should just use it anyway
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is beautiful and suits [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. I highly prefer [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] over [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] is also one of my top names, but DH thinks it feels incomplete.
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is a super popular nickname right now for all sorts of names like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], etc. I would avoid it. Why not just call her [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and introduce her to such to everyone? They’ll get the hint that she goes by only [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. That sets her apart from the six or seven [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]'s you’ll likely run into in her daycare or classroom. [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is so beautiful on it’s own.
[name_f]My[/name_f] DH also loves [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but after the Kardashians got a hold of it, I vetoed it.
I don’t think that the nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is inevitable but I do think that she would have to correct people who shortened it at first. Once they knew that she preferred her full name then I don’t think it’d be a problem. Most people call me by my full name as a default anyway.
I can’t help but think that you may regret not using [name_f]Margot[/name_f]! It is lovely and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] sounds lovely X
There definitely are way worse sibsets out there. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] may rhyme and sound cutesy, but they will spend most of their lives as their own people and not as “[name_m]Leo[/name_m]'s sister” or “[name_f]Margot[/name_f]'s brother.” If I were you, I would probably need to take some xanax I would be thinking this over so hard, lol.
I think [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] work fine together, I have a [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and I’m considering a [name_f]Margot[/name_f]/[name_f]Margo[/name_f] and I have no problem with it being too similar, in fact I didn’t even think of it and still don’t think it’s a problem now. They’re really not that similar, other than they both end in -o. Other people won’t notice, since they’ll won’t be introduced together very often. [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is also a lovely name, I think you should go with what you love. It’s up to you though, if it’s something that bothers you.
