Southern, Artistic Boy's Name?

I’m a longtime user of Nameberry’s forums and lists, but this is my first time posting anything. :slight_smile: I’m hoping that you guys can help me name one of my characters. He’s being named by another character, and she’s an artistic, southern person, so I’m thinking those things will influence how she names him. I want something that’s classic without being overly fancy, maybe one or two syllables? A nickname that dresses it down a little would be good. Anything with an artistic, mythological, or romantic (the art/literature movement) connotations is great.

These are some of the names that I’ve used in the project so far, to give a feel: [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Maritza[/name_f], [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] ([name_f]Ellie[/name_f]). The ideal name would be somewhere between the simplicity of [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] or [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and the fancier-sounding [name_f]Eliana[/name_f].
