Spanish-English compatible boy name

I’m a Canadian married to a Spaniard and we live in Spain. Our first boy is named “[name]Santiago[/name]” and I’m totally lost for a name for boy number two. I love “[name]Rio[/name]” but worry it is a little modern for Spain where boys are named very traditionally, especially given that that his older brother has a classic Spanish name. It has to be easily pronouncable in both languages. Any suggestions?

[name]Santiago[/name] - what a handsome name! [name]Rio[/name] is a great name, but I am not sure what things are like in Spain as far as different names…
I really really love [name]Mateo[/name]. And I’ve also been loving [name]Arnau[/name] (or actually, for me it’s the French version - [name]Arnaud[/name]) lately.

I’m Canadian too! I love your son’s name [name]Santiago[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you call him [name]Diego[/name] as a nickname? [name]Rio[/name] may be too modern sounding with your older son’s more traditional name. Here are some Spanish names that could be paired with [name]Santiago[/name].
[name]Elias[/name] / [name]Elio[/name]

My favorites are [name]Samuel[/name] and [name]Sabastian[/name]. They both compliment your son’s name well and translate into both languages easily.

I misspelled [name]Sebastian[/name], sorry!

What about names that end in -rio so you could use [name]Rio[/name] as a nickname?

 I’m sure there are more, but these are all I can think of at the moment.
