Special Girl Name

I need help with a creative or trendy girl name!
I already have some ideas.

The character in question lives in the USA in fairly modern times (around 2000-now)

She was born with disabilities. She can barely breathe or walk on her own. (But she isn’t compeltely helpless.)
Her parents feel she is lucky to have survived her birth and give her a “creative” or “special” name, something’s that isn’t too in your face (example: [name_u]Unique[/name_u], [name_f]Miracle[/name_f]) but still screams “I’m special!”

In the end, I want it to be a bit ironic. Her name isn’t as special as her parents make it out to be. So nothing too out there.

Does that make sense?

I’ve already thought of: (any I should eliminate or go for? What style do these suggest? Suggestions welcome, of course!)

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f]

[name_f]Do[/name_f] not suggest: Vintage names, color names, [name_f]Heaven[/name_f], [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f].

I’d read that story/book if it were published someday.

Anyway, some of my favorite trendy names are [name_f]Madisyn[/name_f], [name_u]Finlee[/name_u], and [name_f]Cataleya[/name_f] (last one=real name, but it fits a lot of trends)

[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] - means beautiful
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - gift
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] - gift
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] - gift
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u]
[name_f]Bronte[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelina[/name_f]

Alsyn: [name_m]Just[/name_m] reading this one kind of looks jumbled. I read it similar to [name_f]Alison[/name_f], only without an extra sound between the L and the S. If you’re shooting for a trendy looking name that sounds like [name_f]Alison[/name_f], this one works well.

[name_u]Carson[/name_u]: Personally, I’ve never liked [name_u]Carson[/name_u], but typically boy names used for girls is a very trendy thing right now.

[name_u]August[/name_u]: I suppose this one could be meaningful if [name_u]August[/name_u] was a special month for her parents, like maybe she was only given until [name_u]August[/name_u] to live as a baby. (That’s actually a little morbid to name you kid after the month they were supposed to die, the more I think about it…) I think months for names are cute though, so I like this one.

[name_f]Alivia[/name_f]: This one is very pretty. It’s easy to read and pronounce, and it also sounds pretty too!

[name_u]Quincy[/name_u]: Not my favourite, but I prefer the [name_f]Quincee[/name_f] spelling you used below.

[name_u]Sterling[/name_u]: I like this one a lot. It’s masculine sounding, so it’s unusual for a girl, and according to the Nameberry page, it means ‘Of the highest quality’. I like that a lot, and I think it’s a name that her parents could make a big deal out of the meaning, even if it doesn’t sound that magnificent to anyone who doesn’t know her life story.

[name_f]Quincee[/name_f]: See above.

Janelyn: A little hard to pronounce out loud. It comes out sounding like [name_f]Jaylyn[/name_f]. I could see her having to correct people who mishear her name a lot with this one.

Chaselyn: This one’s easier to say out loud, but it’s not my personal favourite. It does sound very trendy though.

[name_f]Princess[/name_f]: I’m sorry, this one just seems gaudy and pretentious.

Lynlee/Lynnleigh/Lynleigh: This one is alright. I like the Lynnleigh spelling the best.

Marelynn: Is this pronounced like [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f]? If so, I like it.

[name_u]Chase[/name_u]: Again, boy names for girls is a huge trend right now. Not my personal favourite, but I don’t despise it.

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]: The only reason I don’t like this one is because I knew a girl named [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and she wasn’t very nice.

[name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f]: I’ve never been partial to the name [name_f]Grace[/name_f], but this is okay.

A lot of this is my personal opinion, but I hope it could help a little. Best of luck!

I liked the suggest of [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f].

Maybe Quinnlyn or [name_f]Gracen[/name_f]?

Not [name_f]Princess[/name_f]. Maybe something like [name_u]Angel[/name_u], but not [name_f]Princess[/name_f]. [name_f]Princess[/name_f] is for royalty and pets only. [name_m]How[/name_m] about a gem name, not like [name_f]Diamond[/name_f], but maybe something like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f], [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f]? Or, something less obvious, like the Chinese Daiyu, meaning black jade. I also like [name_f]Star[/name_f] and Faerlithe.

[name_f]Honor[/name_f] is nice, and fits the brief well - still a characteristic, but subtler than, say, ‘[name_f]Miracle[/name_f]’.
[name_f]Sapphire[/name_f]? Unusual, not too in-your-face.
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]? It’s not too unusual but it’s a strong name and could be short for something else, like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or Oleander.
