Spellable Name

I love looking around all the lovely names on here! There are so many fantastic ones! Anyway, I’ve been thinking of changing my name from [name]Aisha[/name] (pronounced eye-shah). It’s often hard for people to spell or pronounce due to the spelling and uniqueness of its pronunciation at least in my area and doesn’t quite feel right, so I was hoping for suggestions that might be easier to say, but not too-too generic. I had a dear friend who passed on who was named [name]Victoria[/name], but I wasn’t sure if it might be too strange to change my name to hers as a tribute.

I have also been considering the names [name]Amber[/name], [name]Margo[/name], [name]Sasha[/name], [name]Alina[/name], [name]Astrid[/name], etc, but I’m having a hard time coming up with more ideas.
I really think boys have it easier with the names! Though I wasn’t sure if a more masculine or unisex sounding name or something surname-ish such as [name]Blackwell[/name] would be slightly confusing or defeat part of the purpose as to why I’ve been thinking of changing it. Perhaps something that could be shortened to a nickname.

I looove your name. I think it’s so beautiful, waaay nicer than [name]Amber[/name], [name]Margo[/name] or [name]Astrid[/name]. I know an adult [name]Astrid[/name], it really doesn’t work on her at all. But, it is your name, and you are the one who has to live with it. There are some nice unisex names you could choose from that kind of fit your style; [name]Sage[/name], [name]Rowan[/name], [name]Avery[/name], though they are becoming more popular now, so you may not want to choose them. [name]Sasha[/name] is very pretty, and close to your name  good luck.

Your name is beautiful. Aisha is one of my personal favourite Arabic names.
Of the names you’re considering, I like Astrid and Margo. Astrid in particular, it’s not that far off your own name either. I’m from Scandinavia and I know a lot of Astrids and all of them bear the name beautifully.

I do think the name [name]Aisha[/name] is pretty, but it has never quite clicked for me personally. I quite like [name]Sage[/name], but if it’s becoming more popular I think I’ll think about something different. I might end up going with [name]Sasha[/name], [name]Astrid[/name], or something similar because they’re both somewhat close to my name, and I feel like two syllables is just the right amount, since I’m tending to err towards names like that. Thank you both for the great advice!
