Spelling help!? Nora or Norah?

We have decided on the name but not the spelling! With an H or without the H?? I don’t think it needs it… And with an H reminds me or [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m]… But without the H is a bit more old lady?? Argh! External opinions appreciated. We have a long but only 2 syllable surname and the middle name will be “[name_f]Ellen[/name_f]” (family name) thoughts???

Much prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. The h seems unnecessary, imo.

I also vote for [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. It seems a lot more classic and timeless, very elegant, too

Strongly prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f], agreeing with the reasons posted above.

I 100% disagree with the previous posters. [name_f]Norah[/name_f], with the H, looks so much more polished, imo. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is okay, but that H really puts it over the top for me.

I like it without the “h”. I think it’s a more traditional spelling.

I much prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. [name_f]Norah[/name_f] looks a bit odd to me, probably because I have only known people with (and seen, besides here) the [name_f]Nora[/name_f] spelling.

I far prefer [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. For some reason, [name_f]Nora[/name_f] looks incomplete to me.

I prefer the traditional, more popular, spelling [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. Though I do think [name_f]Norah[/name_f] looks polished and full. It’s a toss up, but I personally wouldn’t add the H.

I have a friend [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] who has a daughter [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. The H is added in honor of the H in [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]. I found it cute.

It’s a bit like [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_f]Sara[/name_f] for me. Though I prefer [name_f]Sara[/name_f], I feel it looks incomplete without the H.

I greatly prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. The h seems unnecessary and gives the name a totally different feel to me. I also heavily associate that spelling with [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m]. I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is absolutely beautiful!

[name_f]Norah[/name_f] to me sounds like a full name. It sounds much more “whole” to me whereas [name_f]Nora[/name_f] comes off as more of a nickname for [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] or [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f].
