I haven’t voted because my favourite is just [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u], spelt normally. I don’t think the comedian association is an issue at all. Not a fan of any of the alternative spellings but I just wanted to say please please PLEASE don’t use [name_f]Belle[/name_f]-[name_f]Ami[/name_f]! Apart from looking frankly a bit tacky, it’s also grammatically wrong: “amie” is the [name_m]French[/name_m] for a female friend, which would go with the feminine adjective “belle” - “ami” is male and the corresponding masculine adjective would be “bel” (before a vowel).
I didn’t vote either because the only spelling I like is [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]. I don’t think [name_m]Bill[/name_m] [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] is well known enough for it to be an issue, and the other spellings do look a bit tacky.
Thanks. I really just copied variations from another website since the I wasn’t receiving an initial suggestions. I don’t think [name_m]Bill[/name_m] [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] is well known either, especially as we move into the coming years. But SO has a hang up about every name whenever it’s even remotely connected to some acquaintance, etc. I could really care less.
Well I hope he comes around @imani3891, [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] is a beautiful name.
Well, I voted for [name_m]Belamy[/name_m] because I think it’s the lesser evil, but please use [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]!
Another vote for [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]! I really like this name and the more common spelling.
I would prefer it spelt just [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]
I’d use [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u].
No vote here, either. I prefer [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u].
