I’m really liking the name [name]Spence[/name] lately. I like [name]Spencer[/name], but I think [name]Spence[/name] is edgier and really handsome. [name]Do[/name] you think it works as a complete name? Also, what middle do you think goes best with it? Here are some other examples of names I like below…
I like the idea of using by itself; however, I do think you will constantly be correcting people who will assume [name]Spencer[/name] is his full name. If that bothers you, don’t do it. If it doesn’t bother you, I say go for it! I really like the way [name]Spence[/name] flows. I like [name]Spence[/name] [name]Levi[/name] and [name]Spence[/name] [name]Foster[/name] out of your choices. I think you should definitely steer away from one syllable middle names if you do a one syllable fn - it just sounds incomplete.
I personally prefer [name]Spencer[/name]–I absolutely love [name]Spencer[/name], it’s on my own list, and I would probably just use the full [name]Spencer[/name], [name]Spence[/name] just seems sort of incomplete to me. Although it is a bit weird, a bit before I saw this post I actually just came across the sibset of two brothers, [name]Spence[/name] (just [name]Spence[/name]) and [name]Theo[/name]. I thought that was interesting, haha. So [name]Spence[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] is my first idea, or even [name]Spence[/name] [name]Theo[/name], but I really like the idea of [name]Spence[/name] [name]Atticus[/name] from the names on your list.
I would highly recommend using [name]Spencer[/name] and then using [name]Spence[/name] as a NN. Otherwise the child will be correcting people all his life! It’s unfortunate cause I think [name]Spence[/name] is nice and cool. My favorite combination is [name]Spence[/name]/[name]Spencer[/name] [name]Levi[/name]. Good luck!
That’s true. I could just call him [name]Spence[/name] regardless. And with the fn [name]Spencer[/name] then he can choose what he wants to go by. But I think [name]Spence[/name] [name]Levi[/name] is definitely my favorite combo. Thanks for all the input y’all!
On a side note, my name is [name]Jessi[/name] and people constantly assume my fn is [name]Jessica[/name] (especially since my mom spelled it with just an i rather than an ie ending). I corrected people quite often, although it didn’t bother me much. “[name]Just[/name] [name]Jessi[/name]” became a constant saying in my vocabulary. But what did bother me was people misspelling it. It’s always spelled [name]Jessie[/name] or [name]Jesse[/name]. So finally I just started going by [name]Jess[/name] at work to avoid the misspellings.
