Spencer or Spence?

which do you prefer

[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_m]Russell[/name_m] or [name_u]Spence[/name_u] [name_m]Russell[/name_m]

I much prefer [name_u]Spencer[/name_u].

[name_u]Spence[/name_u] sounds incomplete, plus it makes me think of The [name_u]Spence[/name_u] School in NYC, which is an elite all-girls college prep school. Therefore it seems a bit pretentious to me. However I appreciate that you’re in [name_f]Canada[/name_f], and therefore that association isn’t an issue for you, I’m just explaining why I prefer [name_u]Spencer[/name_u].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]. I also find [name_u]Spence[/name_u] sounds incomplete.

Definitely [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], you can still call him [name_u]Spence[/name_u] as a nn.

To me, [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] is a name, and [name_u]Spence[/name_u] is just a shortened nickname of [name_u]Spencer[/name_u].

I have to agree with the others, [name_u]Spence[/name_u] somehow sounds incomplete and like a nn.

[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]! You can use [name_u]Spence[/name_u] as a nickname but it sounds incomplete to me too as a stand alone first.

I prefer [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]. Like the others have said [name_u]Spence[/name_u] sounds and looks incomplete.
