What are your thoughts on this name? First impressions. Does it seem preppy.?
It was on our list for some time.
Spencer is soft but strong. I quite like it
I know what you mean. I guess it’s same for [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_u]Toby[/name_u], [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] and [name_u]Rex[/name_u]. Which are all nice name but popular for pets.
I like it. I does seem a bit preppy, but not in a bad way. I would enjoy meeting a young [name_u]Spencer[/name_u].
I think [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] is cool. Maybe mind of preppy, but I like that. I find its soft sounds very gentle and handsome, while it is still a very strong name. It fits well with the surname trend, while not being as high on the popularity charts as, say, [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_u]Carter[/name_u], etc.
It does seem preppy. I’m fairly neutral on it.
I really like [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]. It may be a bit preppy, but the first impression I get is of it being a soft name.
It’s one of my all time favorite boys names and one that I could see veering towards gender neutral at some point in the future. I don’t think it seems preppy, moreso academic/studious.
Ah, [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], love it.
A rich classic and I think of the great actor, [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_u]Tracy[/name_u].
I wouldn’t worry about people’s thoughts on preppiness.
It seemed really 90’s to me until I started seeing it suggested as a preppy name all the time. Now I see it that way & quite like it
I love it
It does seem preppy, but in a soft and sweet way! I love it.
I really really like [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]!
Why not? It’s cute
I LOVE [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]. [name_f]My[/name_f] friend is named [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] and I don’t see it as preppy for him. He is a pretty rugged guy and it suits him. [name_f]My[/name_f] son couldn’t pronounce it and now affectionately calls him uncle punchu
I do know of a few little girls names [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] Which I think is from pretty little liars
Overall I love the name.
I love this name! [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] is one of my favourites, it is soft but still masculine. I don’t think it is preppy, but it definitely has an air of sophistication and quite smart. It’s a wee bit trendy, but if that doesn’t deter you, I say go for it!

I like it! I guess I can see it being preppy but I don’t associate it being preppy. The [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] I know is more of a laid back hippie lol
It seems late 90’s / early 00’s preppy.
