Starting our boys list

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though we don’t know the sex of our baby yet, we are starting a list for both boys and girls. And finding boy names we like is very hard!

Right now we’re in the early stages of simply jotting down any name we can remotely imagine using (and the list is NOT long yet) so we’d really appreciate it to get some ideas on names we might have overlooked or not thought of so far.

The list of criteria we have seems simple enough, but somehow every name we found so far doesn’t seem to fit every requirement. Basically we’re looking for a name that is unique enough to be rare but easy enough for people to pronounce and spell without having to ask every time. The name should be accessible for both the Italian and English speaking parts of our families. And we’d like it to flow well with our last name, which starts with D, ends with O and has three syllables.

Some names we have bookmarked so far (we like the sound of them but something about them doesn’t convince us) are: [name_m]Alessandro[/name_m], [name_m]Chance[/name_m], [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_u]Milan[/name_u].

Please feel free to suggest any names that could somehow fit our style! Thanks

What about:

[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] ([name_u]Nico[/name_u])

I would suggest:
[name_m]Lucan[/name_m] / [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]

Thanks for your reply! Showed it to DH and he immediately nixed all but [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] because they don’t yield a good nickname option.

[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] isn’t exactly my style but we are considering [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and [name_m]Vincenzo[/name_m] as options.

Those are some great suggestions, thanks!

[name_m]Rafael[/name_m] and [name_m]Valerio[/name_m] are super cute, we’ll definitely give those another thought.
