Okay, so I have decided to broaden my search for little girl names. I (or we) have been stuck for weeks now, and think that I need a fresh approach. When going with the style that I would typically go with, I seem to come up with mainly unisex type sounding names, which I am not bothered by, but I have not found the [name]ONE[/name]. There are many names I find to be very beautiful, but have a hard time thinking about my girl with a frilly (for lack of a better word) name, but maybe I do just need to branch out.
Most recently I have let go of [name]Marlow[/name], because I picture people calling her marshmellow or something like that…
So please help with coming up with a wonderful, uncommon (at least not in the top 100 or one that is most likely on the rise) name for my little girl.
Her brothers are [name]CaMdEN[/name] and [name]BeCKetT[/name].
We are considering [name]Louise[/name] or [name]Martha[/name] for mn’s. They are family names…
Our last name is one syllable so please no one-syllable names and it begins with an “L”, which is actually difficult with girls names since so many seem to have at least one “L” in them. I am not completely opposed to having an “L” in it, it would just need to sound right.
[name]Camden[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Tamsin[/name].
[name]Camden[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Jonquil[/name].
[name]Camden[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name].
[name]Camden[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Perrine[/name].
[name]Camden[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Zinnia[/name].
[name]Camden[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Noemie[/name].
[name]Tamsin[/name] was on my list, and I really love it, but I feel it sounds too similar or hard to say with [name]Camden[/name]. If I were just naming the two of them it is a mouthful to say [name]Camden[/name] and [name]Tamsin[/name]. I do really love it, though.
[name]Jonquil[/name] is nms…
[name]Audrey[/name] feels too mainstream for me.
[name]Perrine[/name], I have never heard of and will look into a bit more. I think I like the sound of it if I am pronouncing it right in my head.
I have considered [name]Zinnia[/name], but my husband doesn’t seem to be into flower names and feels it is too out there. Not sure why!
While Noeme is pretty and sounds nice, I am not sure it is my style. [name]Will[/name] think about it!
Thank you for the great suggestions…
I guess I should add that some other names we have considered are:
[name]Seren[/name] (but I feared pn issues)
[name]Tamsin[/name] (but sounds too similar to [name]Camden[/name])
[name]Aster[/name] (feared teasing potential)
[name]Margot[/name] (I love, but we know someone with this name)
[name]Marlow[/name] (feared reference to marshmellow)
Thank you for the response!
[name]Carys[/name] - I had considered, but husband didn’t like
[name]Emerson[/name] - I really like, and it is a family surname, so I thought it would be perfect, but husband wasn’t thrilled with it, and I do fear it’s rising popularity
[name]Daphne[/name] - I actually really like this, but always think of Scooby Doo
[name]Phoebe[/name] - I am a die hard Friends lover and can’t get past [name]Phoebe[/name] Bufet (sp.)
[name]Tess[/name]/[name]Tessa[/name] - a friend’s daughter is named this
[name]Willow[/name] - I really like, but my husband always thinks of [name]Willow[/name] [name]Smith[/name] ([name]Will[/name] [name]Smith[/name]'s daughter)
[name]Willa[/name] - nms
[name]Greer[/name] - nms, don’t like
Well, I was thinking [name]Delaney[/name] until I got to the part about your last name. : / It probably wouldn’t work due to the L, right?
Other names you might like:
[name]Nessa[/name]
[name]Clea[/name] (prn. [name]Clay[/name]-a)
[name]Mariah[/name]/[name]Moriah[/name]
[name]Ramona[/name]
[name]Aveline[/name] is not my favorite, I prefer [name]Adeline[/name] ([name]Ah[/name]-deh-line) more. I think [name]Avery[/name] would work great with your sibset and it is similar to [name]Aveline[/name]. [name]Avery[/name] [name]Louise[/name] L-- or [name]Avery[/name] [name]Martha[/name] L–sound great too. It’s my top choice for you, but here are some other possibilities:
[name]Eden[/name]- I don’t know why, but I just love this name. It is on my list, but I don’t like it paired with my set middle name. I personally like the sound of [name]Camden[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Eden[/name].
[name]Harlow[/name]- Someone mentioned this before. Similar to [name]Marlow[/name], without the marshmellow. [name]Love[/name] it.
[name]Wren[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Ivette[/name]- [name]May[/name] be similar to [name]Beckett[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Vera[/name]
[name]Ivory[/name]
[name]Reece[/name]
[name]Embry[/name]
[name]Sienna[/name]
[name]Piper[/name]
[name]Talia[/name]
Loreli
[name]Hadley[/name]
