[name]Hi[/name]
Well, even if she is born first you can always say [name]Henry[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name]. And you really should pick the name you like the most, after all you won’t say “[name]Henry[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name]” all the time.
I think [name]Penelope[/name] is a great name. I like [name]Alice[/name], [name]Gemma[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] too.
I don’t think the matching endings would be hugely noticeable or an issue. It would be ideal to avoid it, but if [name]Penelope[/name] is THE name for you, don’t let it prevent you from using it.
I find that when I say [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] aloud the sound very similar - this may just be me, though. Also, as much as I love [name]Nola[/name] with [name]Henry[/name], with [name]Oliver[/name] there are a lot of [name]OL[/name] sounds.
For some reason, I find [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] had to say, again perhaps because there are lots of R sounds, like [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name]. [name]Cordelia[/name] (nn [name]Cora[/name]) and [name]Oliver[/name] eliminates that problem, though, and [name]Cordelia[/name] is such a pretty, vintage choice.
[name]Violet[/name] is quite popular, but does sound excellent with your other children’s names, although it also highlights the fact that [name]Oliver[/name], and [name]Henry[/name] to an extend, are quite popular (but nevertheless classics).
I find [name]Gemma[/name] nice, but feel it really lacks pizazz, or the stunning vintage charm of [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name].
[name]Alice[/name] is a good name, but beware the fact that it is very popular in [name]Britain[/name], and rising fast in the US.
So, my vote is definitely for [name]Cordelia[/name]. [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Alice[/name] doesn’t have the best flow, but it’s not bad, either, and both names are lovely. [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] would work, too.
[name]Henry[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name].
Or perhaps, [name]Henry[/name], [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name].
Good luck! [name]Auburn[/name]
I think [name]Henry[/name], [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] sound perfect together. [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] make a great sib-set, they’re both 3 syllables and have the same letters except [name]Violet[/name] has a ‘t’ where [name]Oliver[/name] has an ‘r’.

hey, those names are sooo lovely and some of my faves!
i love love love violet the most, and penelope comes in second for me…xo
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] - I adore this name, I hope to one day use it on a future daughter myself! This would be my first choice, but if not:
[name]Cora[/name] - I like it but I don’t think it’s pretty enough to be a sister to [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]. I think something feminine would sound lovely with the boys names
[name]Cordelia[/name] - I [name]ADORE[/name] this! This would be my second chocie definitely
[name]Nola[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] this name too, you have amazing taste. I also think it would be kind of cool to link the twins names with the “ol” sould in [name]Nola[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name].
[name]Gemma[/name] - I like this but it sounds plain to me next to your other names, maybe it’s because it’s a very common name here in the UK
[name]Alice[/name] (not my fave, but my husband loves it. Probably will be a middle name) - I think this name is so sweet and is probably the best match with [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] of all your names
[name]Violet[/name] - I’m not a [name]Violet[/name] fan I’m sorry but I know I’m most probably alone there!
My favs would be:
[name]Henry[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Henry[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Henry[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Henry[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Nola[/name]
I dont see the problem with [name]Penelope[/name]. [name]Henry[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Oliver[/name] sound just fine to me. Is is the double -ee endings that are bothering you?
[name]Clara[/name]- Very pretty. [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] would be lovely.
[name]Cora[/name]- Cute, but not as pretty as [name]Clara[/name].
[name]Cordelia[/name]- Cute, but still prefer [name]Clara[/name].
[name]Nola[/name]- Sweet, what about [name]Magnolia[/name] “[name]Nola[/name]”
[name]Gemma[/name]- Eh, this name has always sounded a little blunt and akward to my ears.
[name]Alice[/name] (not my fave, but my husband loves it. Probably will be a middle name)- [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Alice[/name]. [name]Clara[/name] [name]Alice[/name] would be nice. Or [name]Alice[/name] [name]Claire[/name]?
[name]Violet[/name]- [name]Lovely[/name]. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Claire[/name] would be great.
My favorites of your list are [name]Clara[/name], [name]Violet[/name], and [name]Alice[/name].
Thanks for the replies!!! We have also added [name]Greta[/name] to the list. [name]How[/name] does this go with the brothers?
[name]Greta[/name] is lovely! It would probably be my favorite with [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] out of your list. If you are wanting other suggestions I was thinking [name]Ramona[/name] or [name]Tessa[/name].
[name]Greta[/name] is lovely! It would probably be my favorite with [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] out of your list. If you are wanting other suggestions I was thinking [name]Ramona[/name] or [name]Tessa[/name].[/quote]
We had [name]Ramona[/name] on our long list, but crossed it off, maybe I’ll bring it up to DH again.
I forgot to answer why I was iffy about [name]Penelope[/name]. I’m probably overthinking it, but I wasn’t sure if the -en at the beginning and the “e” sound at the end were too matchy. I guess they aren’t since no one has mentioned it.
We are really liking [name]Greta[/name] now, but are still unsure. I just want a name to feel right!
Okay,
[name]Margot[/name]!
Wow we have very similar taste in girls names!
[name]Margot[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Greta[/name], [name]Nola[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name] all are or have been in my top 5 names at one point! So I obviously love all of these choices.
I also like [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Iris[/name] a lot, but not as much as the other names. Having said that they would be lovely with your boys names!
I really don’t envy you having to pick between all these great names! [name]Do[/name] you and/or your husband have a favourite of the choices? Maybe just pick one favourite each and then see which suits her best when she gets here?
If you’re still looking for opinions though I’d go with [name]Margot[/name]! I love love love this name.
[name]Maggie[/name] and [name]Ollie[/name] would be adorable nn’s too!
[name]Maggie[/name] & [name]Ollie[/name] is really cute! That’s one of the reasons I like [name]Penelope[/name], I like the sound of [name]Pip[/name] & [name]Ollie[/name].
My DH is really liking [name]Greta[/name] as of now. We only have a few more weeks, so hopefully we can narrow it down soon!
I have always used the nn of [name]Pip[/name]/[name]Pippa[/name]/[name]Pippy[/name] as a nn for [name]Phillipa[/name].
[name]Greta[/name] is pretty but style wise I don’t see it with [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name]. [name]Penelope[/name] fits much better.
I think the nn of [name]Penny[/name] is really nice.
Suggestions for a girl
[name]Philippa[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Margot[/name]
[name]Margot[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name] [name]Miranda[/name]
Well, in a way, I sort of agree about [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name]. They do sound rather strange together, maybe because of the EE ending in both. Together they sound more cartoonish, but individually they are both wonderful names.
My favorite combination would be [name]Henry[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], or [name]Henry[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Oliver[/name]. [name]Alice[/name] is my runner up, but since you don’t seem to like that one, it could be a middle for [name]Violet[/name]. They others seem a little short, and I think the frilly feminine quality of [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] offset the masculinity of [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] quite well.
Oh, I just [name]LOVE[/name] the suggestion of [name]Phillipa[/name] with [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name]!!!
[name]Ollie[/name] and [name]Pippa[/name] are perfect names for your twins!!!
I would suggest [name]Phillipa[/name] [name]Estelle[/name].
[name]Phillipa[/name] is really cute! I love pip/pippa for a nickname.
