Starting to have doubts on Imogen

Hubby and I have been trying to conceive, and today, I finally had a positive pregnancy test! Still a bit shocked, and part of me is in denial. But, it now turns this baby-naming hobby into “the real deal.”

On that note, I am starting to have second thoughts on our girl combo: [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. I absolutely love it, but it is really starting to bug me that it is so different from my daughter’s name. [name_f]Emberlee[/name_f] [name_u]Shea[/name_u] was named after my grandmother, and though it is lovely, it doesn’t necessarily suit my naming style, whatever that may be. Her name just feels so young to me, despite my granny wearing this name at 92!

A few names that I like:
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]/a (honor name)
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Ona[/name_f] (honor name, but honors the same person as [name_f]Emberlee[/name_f])
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Evanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] (a favorite, but it seems so masculine. Might work well as middle, to match the unisex [name_u]Shea[/name_u] in [name_f]Emberlee[/name_f]'s name)
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] (honor name)

Some of these don’t pair well with [name_f]Emberlee[/name_f], some my hubby hates, some are too popular, and some are used by relatives. But, right now, I would love to hear your thoughts: combos from these or new suggestions. I guess I like names that aren’t overly frilly.

I’m really at a loss. For reference, our surname is like “[name_f]Deal[/name_f].” Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

I think [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] sounds lovely

I think [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] pairs quite nicely with [name_f]Emberlee[/name_f]!

Thank you. I just can’t decide if [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is too clunky for [name_f]Emberlee[/name_f]. Maybe if I pair it with something other than [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but that’s an honor name. Thankfully, I have some time to think on it.

I think [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is a lovely name. If you live in [name_f]England[/name_f], I know it is extremely popular there. Of your list, I like [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]. (Ohmygosh these are all on my list you have great taste!) My favorite combination would have to be [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]

@sorciereblanche, thank you! I am in the US where [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] isn’t even on the top 1000. I love [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]! I worry [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] is becoming too popular here, especially since Disney just released the movie Frozen which has a character named [name_f]Elsa[/name_f].
