At first glance, I would have thought it to be pronounced like “Stay-sha”.
The girl I knew named Stassia spelled it the way you spell it, but pronounced it Stah-see-ah.
I knew of an [name]Anastasia[/name] who went by [name]Stasia[/name], and she pronounced it Stay-sha.
I knew someone named Stassia before, pronounced like you say it, Stah-sha. I think I worked at a restaurant with her, or she was someone’s girlfriend that I knew… vague, but I have heard the name and don’t think of it at all as Stay-sha. [name]Stacy[/name], yes, I have known other girls name of [name]Stacy[/name] not [name]Stacia[/name] (stay-sha).
I thought it was STAY-see-a (like [name]Anastasia[/name]).
I was acquainted once with a [name]Stasia[/name] (I think this was the spelling) who pronounced it stay-sha, and I thought it was charming.
