Stella and Stephanie

Are the names [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] too similar to be used as a sibset?

A little bit for me. [name_f]Estella[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]? [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]?

If they’re your only kids, it’s OK*, but not as good if it’s [name_f]Stella[/name_f], [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] and [name_u]Rue[/name_u], or something where the third is wildly different.
*it’s pretty much all OK!

I would pick [name_f]Stella[/name_f] & [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], or Estelle/Estella & [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f], or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] & [name_f]Persephone[/name_f].

I don’t think they’re too similar. They both have two distinct and different sounds even though the first three letters are the same.

That’s a very good point [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]! Thank you for your suggestions <3

Too similar especially given [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] would most likely be shortened to Steph/Stephie/Stevie. I think they’d be easy to confuse when called across the park etc.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the above idea of [name_f]Estella[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] (perhaps nicknamed [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_u]Stevie[/name_u]? that would be such a cool sibling pair!) :sparkles:

A bit too similar for me, but I love the suggestions of [name_f]Estella[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]!

They are extremely matchy and are too matchy for me personally but the rest of the names sound different enough that you could probably do it.

I think they’re fine together. I also like the suggestion of [name_f]Estella[/name_f] if it bothers you.
