Recently, I’m really digging [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. I’ve been toying with [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maris[/name_f], which is Latin for “star of the sea.” ([name_f]Maris[/name_f] is pronounced [name_f]Mair[/name_f]-is.) As a Catholic, I appreciate that it’s also a title of the [name_u]Blessed[/name_u] Virgin [name_f]Mary[/name_f], which my own name is too! I think it would be a sweet connection.
What do you guys think of [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maris[/name_f]? Are there names like [name_f]Stella[/name_f] you think I should consider (like [name_f]Stellina[/name_f])? Thank you!

I love [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maris[/name_f]. It is still on my list of possibilities. There’s also Maristella and [name_f]Maristela[/name_f] with the same meaning, but as a single name.

[name_f]Marisol[/name_f] --> sea/ocean & sky; contracted form of [name_u]Maria[/name_u] de la [name_f]Soledad[/name_f] ([name_f]Mary[/name_f] of Solitude)

Stella [name_f]Maris[/name_f] is actually the name of a summer camp for kids/teens, near where I live, so I hear that combo a lot! I actually quite like it! [name_f]Stella[/name_f] is beautiful, and [name_f]Maris[/name_f] is unique but definitely usable. Almost an alternative to [name_f]Mary[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Stella[/name_f], it’s beautiful. Have you considered [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Estella[/name_f]? Honestly I prefer these two over [name_f]Stellina[/name_f] as in my country ( [name_f]Italy[/name_f]) it’s a nickname and I can only picture a kid being called [name_f]Stellina[/name_f], not a woman.
