Stephanie Blake

I really like the name [name_u]Blake[/name_u] for a girl, it’s very sleek and stylish imo, and feels very 80s soap opera to me (in the best possible way!), but I’m not sure that it works as a sibling to my favourite, [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]. Because of that, I’m sort of toying with the idea of [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u], so I can use both?

What are your thoughts on [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] as a combo? I’m kind of liking the “cool-girl” vibe of the two together, but I’m not sure if they’re quite right?

Other combos I’ve toyed with;

[name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (not sure on [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] as sisters - [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] is a 100% definite, this just allows me to still use Blake)
[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Kaye[/name_u]
[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_f]Renée[/name_f]
[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_f]Jayne[/name_f] (family spelling)

I guess this is a two part question :sweat_smile:

A) What do you think of [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] as a FN/MN combo?
B) What do you think of [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] (Kaye/Renée/Jayne) and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] ([name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]) as sisters?

Thanks!

Ooh, [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is perfect! Definitely cool girl vibes.

[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] sound like very different eras to me tbh, I’d expect [name_u]Blake[/name_u] to be Stephanie’s daughter or something. I like both on their own, though.

[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is really cool! [name_u]Blake[/name_u] actually makes [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] sound quite modern, and if she ever needs a pen name, etc., she could even use her middle name as a surname (obviously not something super important but [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] sounds like an author to me, haha).

[name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is also pretty but if I read [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] & [name_u]Blake[/name_u], I’d probably assume [name_u]Blake[/name_u] was a boy because [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] just feels very obviously feminine to me while [name_u]Blake[/name_u] used to be (is?) so much more popular for boys.

However, if [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] is [name_u]Steph[/name_u] most of the time, I can actually see sisters [name_u]Steph[/name_u] and Blake…

As soon as I saw the title, I thought “what a [name_u]Haley[/name_u] name!” [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is cool and lovely, pretty but not frilly.

[name_u]Blake[/name_u] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] do feel a bit different but [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and Stephie work to me if that helps and I love [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] Jayne!!

@ethelmary - Thank you! I’m glad you like them together! I did wonder that about [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] as sisters too. [name_u]Reese[/name_u] I think we could get away with as a sister name because of [name_u]Reese[/name_u] Witherspoon, [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is a bit trickier because [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_f]Lively[/name_f] didn’t fit into the 90s high schooler vibe :sweat_smile:

@OpheliaFlora - It does have a bit of a pen name quality to it! I just felt like it sounded very 80s soap opera leading lady or very cool girl in high school! That is a good point though with [name_u]Blake[/name_u]. Maybe if S/O vetoes [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u], I can use [name_u]Blake[/name_u] for a boy! It’s one I like equally for both (like [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] or [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] or Mackenzie) :sweat_smile:

@Greyblue ooh yay! I do love [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_f]Jayne[/name_f] as well, I didn’t think about [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and Stephie together!

[name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] :heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

I will say if there’s a [name_u]Blake[/name_u] then [name_u]Kaye[/name_u] and [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
Seem somewhat audibly rhyme-y matcha to me . But I guess one has to decide if that’s a good or bad thing :woman_shrugging:t2:

I like [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] as a combo.

I think [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_f]Jayne[/name_f] and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] work great as siblings especially if [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] would go by [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] the majority of the time.

[name_u]Stevie[/name_u] and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] are both adorable and unexpected.

I really do like [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and also feel cool-girl vibes. I like them together and as a creative way to use both names, as [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] as siblings feels like a sister and brother combo to me. I love both names though. [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is my favourite on your list although your other mn options are lovely as well.

I think [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] sounds great as a combo! I do feel like [name_u]Blake[/name_u] might get mistaken as a boy at times if she was a sibling to [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u]! I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] as sisters, because they have somewhat a different vibe for me as different people; [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] has a seventies rock singer vibes to me(thanks to [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] Nicks), and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] has an early 00s school girl vibes, if that makes sense? But I think as a combo they balance each other out.

Kaye and Renee would be middle names, so it wouldnt be an issue for me! Thanks!

I think they’d be pretty mismatched as sisters, but they work great as a combo! :slight_smile:
